This thread so far has received more reports than any other thread yet.  Most are from people from different perspectives in this discussion asking for posts to be removed or censored.
However I won't remove posts for their content (unless they are against the rules of the forum) even if I personally feel they may be reprehensible.
I recognize that I myself can be biased towards one opinion or another and if I remove only things that I disagree with the forums will no longer be an open one.

Ember: god damn I hope you're sarcastic.

Velvet: it's the rapist who likes rape: it's a fetish for them. They don't particularly care if the victim likes it - in fact it probably excites them.

Psuedo-rape is different, there's consent involved therein.

I'm.. deeply offended, to be honest. I mean, I've gotten into some sick thing in my sex life (including psuedo-rape.)
but actual rape is a violation of a person. a VIOLATION of a human being.

There's nothing more I can say to that
and dammit, if you're trying to be funny you've failed.

I love you so much Ember. Please let me be the bearer of your children.

You cannot judge a person for how they are, it's what they do with how they are that makes the difference.

A person potentially could be biologically wired to do some abhorrent things. Whether or not they are able to channel those to the benefit or detriment of society is what makes them a good or bad person.

Causing unwanted and unwarranted harm to another is reprehensible in all cases, and should never be condoned.

On another thought.. is this what we are, what we want people to see?

When a new member comes to the boards, what are they going to be presented with when they enter our forums, with new eyes and hopefully an open mind? People joking about rape and trying to fight against being civil to the female gender.

Not only that, but what if media came in here, trying to get a picture of what we as a community are. Is this what we want to see? Is this what we want them to go out and report?

Really guys, I am appalled at what is going on here, just absolutely appalled.

Actions like these damage the community at large, and can have negative effects on things like events we manage.

Is civility such a horrible thing to ask for?

My biases are I am a straight guy and I do like females, but I am trying to see the other side of the coin and can't find a good reason for it. I mean, what is so terrible about being respectful?

Well at least I'm not the only one. That's what I get for expecting adults to be adults though, isn't it?

Who wants to see what happens when people start berating and mocking each other for standing up for what they believe in?

First: Read this thread.

Second: Start reading the news.

Third: Learn some history, specifically about wars.

This is stupid. This thread was well-intentioned and could have achieved a positive outcome for all involved parties of all genders and orientations. But because a few individuals simply can't take anything seriously or can't be quiet when they have nothing useful to contribute, everybody is just getting angry at everybody else.

Is all this only applying to women on this forum?

Are you serious? I haven't seen anything so far that would warrant someone reporting! (edit: except for Ember being a dick... didn't see that one earlier!) Maybe just some people that are sore at us for wanting some respect?

Come on guys, is wanting to be respected such a terrible thing?!

I'm confused and pretty discouraged by some of you guys. ): To be honest I just don't really know what to say.

Thank you for this. I think this is important.

This has become very embarrassing, honestly. There are way too many drama queens and trolls her for this thread to last, but it's a testament to the underlying fact that a) this forum is not nearly as nice or welcoming as MANY have tried to make it and b) sexism is alive and well in modern society, and thriving on the internet.

There's a huge difference between BCF and /b/ though, a lot of us know each other IRL. The anonymity is gone, or at least far reduced compared to the anon monster of the internet. There are a few furs who can hide, but I know who a lot of these names are, their faces, and even where they live. It's not hard to find, or contact these people and destroy the internet barrier. Also, a lot of these names and faces are going to be at events. Who wants to go to an event knowing they might meet the poster of such fine selections of forum discussion "vaginas are disease pits" or "stop the rapist hate". Not new people, not people who want to learn, not other women, not people who are genuinely curious. Cut that shit out and grow up. You are making us ALL look bad, because you want to be a fucking troll.

The females of this forum are not getting the fairness and respect they deserve on this forum, stop perpetuating the problem, man up, and appologize. You know who you are. Wrath, Dinsu, et al have far more balls then the lot of you spewing the hatred and bullshit.

Also, and this really pisses me off, rape is no joke. Cut that shit out. Rape is one of the worst crimes out there, and one of the many things that are truly horrible to subject another person too. Rape is real, occurs to both genders, and is a hell for the victim(s) in all cases.

There is such a concept as consensual non-consent, ie rape play, and it is a fetish. However it is NOT the same as condoning sexual assaults. I will not discuss that further in this thread. If you wish to know more about this topic, please PM me. Only serious PMs will be answered.

To the immature furs:

Thank you for making my thread look bad and making me look like the bad guy (girl) for starting this thead. I hope you're happy. I am a victim of rape. I will not tolerate rape jokes. Or sexist remarks. End of story.

@ Ember:  Seriously- your post was the most disgusting thing I've ever read.  Makes me think twice about involving myself with this community, which is a shame, because most of these cats are pretty cool. But anyone who thinks that "equal rights" applies to someone who desires to rape others is sick and twisted, and I won't have any part of a community that condones someone with that viewpoint.  It may be the internet, but that doesn't mean you're safe to say 'I like rape' and basically admit to being a sex offender even if you're joking.  Jokes like that get Police visits in the middle of the night.

I've dealt with victims of sexual assault (both male and female) in my professional life, and supported friends who've gone through it.  Its not OK, its not a joke, its CERTAINLY not a right, and, short of murder, the most vile crime a human being can commit.

I'd like to stick around, help this group grow- furry fandom is a blast when its safe, legal, furry fun.  But if this group is going to be OK with that sort of behaviour, I will take my business elsewhere.

@ Wrath: I fully support for you.  It makes me sad that this is what I found when I went searching for an accepting community.
