Hey. I am looking for a mate. Im 15 years old, Bi and live on vancouver island. Maybe I can find someone who lives on the island too. Needs to be the same age or close to it. Message me if you want to know more about me. I go on this site almost everyday.

I cringe when I see these type of posts. It just makes me think of someone in real life standing on the sidewalk with a bunch of people they don't know shouting out "Does anyone want to be my *insert significant other term here*?!" ... A little lame.

Just meet people and be friends and let it happen naturally. :) I did end up meeting my 'mate' on this site, but I didn't come here with that intention, it just kinda happened... even though I did have a bit of a crush on him from the get-go. :P

Temrin

Agreed with Zenia :3

Go out into the community, get to know people. Relationships don't just come when they are called. Gotta create some bonds with other people first. :3
Your still young, you've got plenty of time to worry about relationships. Try building some friendships first and see what happens :3

Sawyer

I would but there are no furries that live near me. :(

zenia

How come your significant other has to be a furry?

But anyway, I stand by what I said earlier. Just chat with everyone and make friends. If something is meant to be, it will happen. It took quite a while for me... but it is better than forcing something. :)

Temrin

Thats what the internet is for :3 And as well, think of this, when you get older, you might get a car (or move), and can easier meet people down here or see your future mate. Yes? Right now, if they live no where near you, might be a bit hard for both you and them, dealing with the distance. (of course this depends on how far they are from you.)

Though i must say Zenia, i've been with non-furs and theres just something missing about when you can't share something big in your life with them. It slowly drives you crazy. >.< Of course it depends on the person your with. So i'd not rule them out, but they'd have to show their open about it and not be a jerk about it and constantly say its 'wierd' or 'messed up' because that only ruins things.

I wish you luck Sawyer~ Hopefully at some point, you can make it out this way and meet some furs and have a good time :3

Sawyer

Thanks dude. And thats what I am looking for. someone who has something in common.

That is true. But I wouldn't automatically discount all non-furs... 'cause you might be missing out on something awesome. :) That being said though, I love being with another fur.

I still need to meet someone who is a furry.

Temrin

Well, technically you've met us. lol. You are meeting people by talking on the internet.

IRL is a different matter. Who knows. Someone close enough to you might have means to get you to a furry related outing. Or bus/ferry out this way to a place where someone can meet you. You never know who'd be available.

If you've noticed, there is a Vancouver Island board: http://www.bcfurries.com/forum/index.php?board=5.0
There are things happening there~!

I know this might be a bit of a broken record, and making sure that it's not repeated here (thank you Apple Command-F!), but why not check out and meet furs on the Island? I'm pretty sure there's monthly meet ups on the Island.

Just have a friendly time - it's okay to be a bit shy during your first meet of sorts.  ;)

Hello Sawyer, just thought I'd share some info with you:

There are like, NO AS IN PRETTY MUCH ANY furries out there that are <16! Well, at least barely any. Trust me! I know! I was here when I was 12, didn't meet a >18 furry till I was 15 :/ So I thought I'd let you know it's either waiting for them to discover the fandom or go "converting" your friends. It's hard enough to find furrys your age let alone furry girl/boyfriends. but in the mean time go to meets and events! there are so many friends to be met there.
Good luck bro! And yeah, I'd tell you this isn't a dating site and there are furry ones you should go to, but you don't meet the age requirement to sing up for those, which I'm guessing is why you made a post like this here instead. sorry man.

Also, your young, like barely any people are even dating seriously at all young, so try not to worry about being in a relationship right now.

Quack :V

What Purple said. There's no need for a relationship while you're in school. It's better to focus on your studies (as lame as that sounds.) I put no effort into my schooling and I really regret it now after it's over.

Best advice to finding someone to be in a relationship with: Just look for friends, and don't try to force anything more than that. If something good comes from a friend, then so be it. If not, don't fret. Something will come up when the time is right.

Also, dicks.

I really recommend that you take your real name out of your profile.

You should also take out which high school you go to.

Kids these days are bad at the Internet. :\

You really shouldn't do things like this. It's like Zenia says you're basically shouting out "I need someone! Who wants me? Anyone?", it's incredibly unflattering and will always attract the worst people. Have some respect for yourself.
The very fact that you state you have "emotional issues and some anger management problems", regardless of how young you are the last thing you need right now is a relationship if that is the case. It's a recipe for disaster.
