I think some people don't like it cause they were expecting it to pretty much be Diablo 2 but with WoW graphics and a slightly different story. So far I actually enjoy it ^.=.^ played through a few classes already.

Well I don't care about graphics, that's not what sells a game for me. It actually looks really shiny and feels very polished, but they neutered the game mechanics and the character building. Instead they chose to slap WoW's UI onto Diablo and force the game into a stripped down set of pre-defined per-level skills. The depth of character creation is gone, instead it's just simple options.

If the depth of the game has gone into the crafting, then the game essentially becomes grinding and crafting instead of playing. The grinding of old Diablo was going it and killing stuff, then picking up loot. That mechanic is a bit nicer, now that loot is per-client instead of shared, but the servers also control the loot drops. That means that Blizzard can force the loot drops to be low and make people grind more for the items, especially so they can keep control of the auction houses while preventing people from being uber-buffed. Basically, it engineers a need to sink tons of money and/or time into the game, instead of just making the replay value super high, like D2.

I'm also rather concerned about what they are going to do with the lore. I mean, the beta allows you to fight whom? The skeleton king ... again? Right off the bat, it's the same old with recycled plot ideas and rather lackadaisical maps. No relay random, so the linearality of the world becomes clear right away.

Thus, D3 appears to be the bad parts of WoW with a coat of D2 paint over it. Not exactly a day-one purchase for me ... no, I'll wait for the price to drop to $30 or $40 at the most, same thing I am doing with Startcraft II.

If anything, my big May 15th game is Max Payne 3.

Yeah, if there is something special about the clothes, then they have to supply them.

If they say "white shirt and black pants" then you buy them.
If they say "white shirt with a ruffle running down each side of the buttons, and black dress pants with a satin stripe down the outside seam" then they buy them.

I can agree with the crafting bit, what I loved about D2 was trying to craft new and interesting items and find the ultra rare and set items. I am sad that its not really in there, though the only way they could have it is if by some real stretch they got the cube to find its way into this game. The skill trees as well, I loved how it wad setup in D2. But I still remain pretty open to this game and will grab it the first chance I get just cause it falls into one of those little niches of gaming that I enjoy.  To me the games market is too saturated with WoW clones (I know there is irony in me saying that) and more of the same old "war" games that feature people in dusty dirty environments wearing camo and shooting other people dressed in camo in a competition to see whos camo is the most fashionable lol

Bastard fly keeps on flying around in my room - I have been trying to kill it all afternoon. Costed me a somewhat dented thumb from smashing a book on the fly, missing, and causing my thumb to be smashed up against the edge of a table. >_>

I can fix that problem for you with some wire mesh, an old sports racket, and a pair of 1200 uF, 450v capacitors. >:3

My complaint: Why must cats be so adorable, and me so allergic to them? :c

Insomnia. Seriously. Bollocks to that noise.

And on a tongue-in-cheek note, not enough nuclear fire to go around. That's something to actually complain about in my current mood and mindset. It is not a good mood, and it is not a good mindset.

I've had good results with melatonin, and I know a couple of other people who have had the same. It's stupid cheap.

I think 120 doses (120 nights of not able to sleep) cost me about $10.

Melatonin is effective in a lot of cases. However, chronic insomnia can be a symptom of something much more serious and should be discussed with a physician.

Interesting. I fly Cathay Pacific and I've managed to avoid poor quality airline food for years.

I had my application rejected from SFU's teaching program. That's only 4 wasted months of my life, and another 6 to look forward to  :-\

I was recently accepted to Ottawa U's teaching program. A tip I was given by an advisor? Volunteer. Alot. It helps. I've been working in a school for the last 4 years, as well as 2 years as a scout leader, and it looks fantastic on an application to have practical experience in the field.

I hate Joel and if it were acceptable to strangle him, I would.

For the March bills, I asked for $95 each due on the 15th of April. When that date came, he claimed that he 'was short on cash' so I agreed to wait until his next payday even though I was really pissed about it. When I moved out, I left a note on the whiteboard saying they also had to give me $50 for the April bills, due on May 15th. So he got paid yesterday and I sent him an email asking for the money... at least the $95. What does he tell me?

"dont have it. will have on the 15th like you said"

Is he braindead? What makes paying the first part a MONTH LATE acceptable? Does he think I am made of money and have tons of spare cash laying around? Once I give my rent and pet deposit to my landlords here, I will have $2. It would be nice to be able to buy my bus pass and groceries.

I sincerely hope that he royally messes up on something in his life and everything goes into the toilet for him.
