WOOOOW. Can you not complain to the landlord and give them the boot? :/
Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, either way you're right.

Oh. I have complained a few times to her, but she just says "Whatever happens inside the house is between you guys. You have to work it out amongst yourselves." I got so fed up that I tried to get them kicked out (if it worked, they would have left on the 1st of this month) but they swore to me and the landlord that they would start taking care of the house. Since then, the sister has cleaned up the kitchen once (but didn't clean the floor or lower cupboard fronts that they spill stuff down) and the brother cleaned out the fridge, but left the food containers all over the counters.

Ugh! And I have a mini hissy-fit every time I have to vacuum our basement.
If I came home to my kitchen looking like that... someone would be missing a limb.

Come to think of it, it looked pretty bad when I got home today. :/ Looking forward to tomorrow.

lol I just went out into the kitchen, and I was being called a hypocrite again (via whiteboard). This is like, the third or fourth time one of them has called me that. Look again at THEIR mess. Look at mine. Does that warrant being called that? It seems like they just want to use a big, fancy word on me. >__> So I had like 10% of the dishes out there (maybe) and a couple of times I forget to throw a piece of packaging away... but they almost never clean their dishes and they have no problem leaving cans/recycling on the counters/floors or stacks of pizza boxes on the floor. ... And I am a hypocrite?! I am about ready to EXPLODE.

I think that I will clean the bathroom (something that they have NEVER done since we moved in this past February) and then put all of their dishes/recycling into the bathtub and clean the rest of the kitchen. They really love taking showers, so this will force them to do something... they will probably only move them back into the kitchen and then bitch at me like the children that they are.. But just maybe they will actually wash them and then wash the bathtub too like I have been asking them.

Back when we had our meeting with the landlord, I mentioned the fact that they never cleaned the bathroom, and the brother had the nerve to say "I don't mess it up in there though!" ... Oh, so when you use the toilet, there is never any splashback? When you throw something into the already full garbage and it falls out, it is ok on the floor? When you have a shower, you don't help create slime in the tub and on the surround? Your soap doesn't leave any scum on the sink? Do you think that I am the one that calls all the dust to land on the floor? Some things are MAINTENANCE and it is EVERYBODYS job to help.

The sister still has like 10 to 15 boxes in the living room that she STILL hasn't unpacked, or even moved out to the garage. It looks like a pigsty in there, 'cause some of the boxes are open and have their contents spilled out.

When we moved in, the sister promised that she (and her brother) would be the ones in charge of yardwork. Our yard is on a hill and I didn't want to have to deal with it and was going to pass on the house, but she insisted that she would do it, so I gave in. I said that I would then be in charge of buying garbage bags and if needed, tags, and to take the garbage and recycling to the curb (now to buy compost bags and take the green bin to the curb). Since my job is a year round one, I think it makes up that their job is kinda hard in the spring/summer. Although, they seem to think that they don't have to sort the garbage properly or put their recycling into the recycling bag. Anyway, in the whole spring/summer season, the lawn was mowed 2.5 times. They each did half the first time, the brother was forced into it by the landlord the second time, and the sister did half of it (and still hasn't finished the other half) this last time. Our next door neighbours actually just built their fence HIGHER so they wouldn't be able to see into our yard. Then when they are confronted about it, they whine that they work all day and when they get home, it is dark... well the brother gets home around 4:30 and the sister gets home at 7:30. Even if it was too dark or they were too tired, they have weekends. This is called 'being an adult' and you have to do things even if you don't want to.

I wish I could afford to rent a one bedroom and not have roommates.

So this is what has happened so far today:

Plus I left them a long note (it took up almost the whole whiteboard) about how it isn't fair that they call me a hypocrite and leave the kitchen like they do. I bet it won't stay this clean for very long.

edit: (10:30) lol So about an hour ago I heard all the cupboards opening and shutting rapidly. Aja was frantic and I just now opened my door to let my cat in and saw that she had rubbed out part of my big whiteboard note and written "WHERE ARE THE DISHES?! WHAT IS THIS?!" :P

Things are kinda falling to shit for me right now 3:

My ulcer is acting up, so I get to vomit blood every night when I'm trying to sleep.
My landlords are showing my house to prospective buyers tomorrow ... during hours when I sleep. So I get to spend another 48 hours awake, and that is NOT good for me.
My medications are becoming less effective, so I may have to go back on anti-psychotics, and they ALWAYS make me gain weight 3:
I'm poor as balls and can't find a job, so I may have to move back in with my mom. Which means my brother will know where I live. Which means I get to live, once again, in daily fear for my life. The only thing keeping me afloat right now is one suit commission coming up in November and one in January, and if I'm REALLY careful I will be able to make that money last long enough to take me through to March.
And since it's cold, my gimpy hand and hip are becoming really stiff and painful, and I'm immune to codeine and becoming immune to Advil, aspirin, and Tylenol.
Yaaaaaaaay.

Zenia, i'm enjoying following your housework wars, XD

oh and complaint; people who don't read entire posts/topics, and then comment on the topic at hand, or what they think the topic is,

heh Yeah... the only update on that at the moment, is that I put all their stuff out on the porch on Thursday and it is STILL THERE. One of them opened a tin and left it on the counter (and today opened another one and left it and a knife in the sink) and the other used a paper plate and left it on the counter. I added the paper plate and fruit tin to the stack outside and will do the same with the other tin and knife tomorrow morning if it is still there.

That's impressive, me and one of my room mates had to do something similar to our other room mate who never cleaned, except we just threw ALL the dirty dishes on their bed.

Yeah, some people have told me to do that... but I would feel horrible about doing it, no matter how pissed I am at them. Plus this way, the dishes aren't stinking up the house... and I don't know who dirtied what dish (they are siblings and share their dishes) so I would probably end up putting the wrong thing in one of their rooms. XD

Haha fair enough, wait a brother and sister moved out together... I find that odd

*shrugs* My sister and I lived together (on two separate occasions) once we left our parents house. We don't get along together though. We learned this definitively. XD

My brother ones had over 10 plates, 12 cups ,most of the utensils and even some of our small pots in his room... so old they had gotten moldy... after putting up with having no dishes to use for dinner for so long I covered his entire bed in like a massive layer of all his dirty dishes then stabbed some forks into his wall for good measure and left them sticking out for him and everyone to see XD (this was after I said he should and him and my grandma just brushed me off with a "yeah what ever")
