That sucks, and facing them to ask what they love about me and what you want them to do might not resolve the solution immediately.
It won't. I'm not even sure they'd listen.
I think that I need to move out before this situation can be properly resolved.

Right now, it feels like the rod of correction is always hanging over my head, leaving me apprehensive about almost everything I do at home.
On especially bad days, even teasing about punishment leaves me cold.

Another thing my parents do that pisses me off:
Since when does "X needs to be done" equate to "Please do X"?

They prefer to use the former of the two formats, which makes it extremely difficult for me to tell if they're thinking out loud or actually want me to do it.
(it's especially confusing if there's more than just me in the room with them)

I've started giving up on trying to tell the difference sometimes.

In case you're wondering, yes I have tried to talk to them about it, but I did quite literally get yelled at for trying to talk to them about it.

I can't. I still live at home, am charged $100 rent a month, and don't have a job worth a darn, despite my bachelor of science in computer science.

Plus, I'm saving that for when I move out.
(they never mean their encouragement half as much as they mean their criticisms, and they criticize ten times as much. At this point, them saying they love me means nothing any more)
So if you said "Fuck you!" they would throw you out?

I have watched the new Avatar series "The Legend of Korra" online on the Nick site from episode one.  They just put up the 2nd to last episode and the video player now says when I try and watch any full episode.  "this video is unavailable from your location".     why must it torment me...? :'(
Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.

Kirkus

When I'm working we have to listen to Sirius XM Satellight Radio on the overhead, which is generally fine until we go through the cycles and end up on either Hits 1 or the Blend.

Every, second, fucking, song is Adele. Her good songs are about hardcore breakup and depression, and her bad ones say "rumour has it" repetitively ad nauseum. In an 8 hour shift, it can get very tiresome.

I feel your pain... I get to listen to the top 40 (10) songs over...and over... and over again as well.
Lately I've been stealing the remote and changing the music over to something a tad more my beat >:3
