Kippy

Well... as for my name, its been my nickname since.. forever and a day X3 Somehow Kristopher, turned into kippy... idk how that process worked, but it happened XD But seriously ive been called that ever since i was like.. man idk.. 4? 3? I use that name for pretty much everything so i figured why not make it my fursona name too? ^_^;

weremagnus

My first online handle/name for my dragon character was "Magnus the Black". I really liked this big derpy dragon from the original Spyro game named Magnus, so I took his name. 'The Black' I took from the book called Dragonsbane which I had recently read at the time (I was way too young for that book, looking back lol) from the dragon villain Morkeleb the Black in the novel.

Why I go by weremagnus more often now is simply because of deviantArt. when I first joined the site, the name 'Magnus' was taken. I love were-creatures so I just slapped 'were' to the beginning.
I still go by all three variations of my name but weremagnus I think is the one I am most easily recognized by.

lunar_prodigy

lunar prodigy is my dead name. i don't actually go by lunar at all anymore online but people in person just know me as that name. Unlike Lope's transition to Mazosi; i just figure its to hard to get 300 people to start calling you by your new proper fursona. Besides i do not actually tell people i know in person my private online names as a way to keep real life separate from online for professionalism, anonymity and career aspects.

as for the meaning of the name lunar prodigy:
lunar prodigy actually was not about the band prodigy which i love, but rather a creative way to say "moon child" which was a wolf thing since the old character/fursona was a wolf in a time when i played werewolf the apocalypse.... oh so long ago... over a decade.

these days i tend to look at myself mostly as four fa handles which serve various purposes online. the names i keep rather anonymous but have interesting themes or inspirations behind their creation.
-The first is an inside joke about being an author; intended use for my writing entries to keep them anonymous and separate from my art ( because time after time i hated my art taking center stage and having my stories ignored so as a writer only account i don't encounter that problem.
-The second account is much the same case for art except intended to be for professional finished quality stuff. the name is very obscure name from an anime i found cute.
-The third is a inside joke pointed at the kind of art people always asked me to draw, which implies that art account is for fetish stuff ( as i don't draw hard porn or gore, just soft stuff) but essentially to keep the weird away from the normal so that i do not become known as a fetish artist i am not like the name lunar did lol. ( which is why i stopped posting art almost entirely around the time i moved to Vancouver five years ago.
the last account was intended as animation but i am unsure what it shall be just yet.

The identities have character's rather than fursonas. subsequently these four characters represent the spirit, the soul, the heart, and the body.
1) is a cartoon unspecific canine that tends to follow laws of cartoon characters as if he is made of ink and rubber (a throwback to Richard Williams who created "who framed roger rabbit").
2) is a floating Japanese ghost wolf temple guardian who is insubstantial, timeless, and mythical in nature.
3) is a coyote who loves to chew on anything made of wood and is immune to cactus "he likes to use them as scratch posts."
4) was once an inanimate object cast into the shape of a wolf and brought to life, who smells of mint chocolate and who can change shape and size.

As for my actual fursona ( which is new now that lunar prodigy is retired forever), i am a coyote now, no longer just a wolf. though i have had difficulty saying goodbye to the wolf entirely so i have two fursonas. the wolf represents the "ID representing basic instinct and desire" the coyote represents the "SUPER EGO represents the critical and moral side" and the human who interacts with you is simply the "EGO the realistic mentality"

Carl Foxmarten

Carl Foxmarten is a fox/pine marten cross.

Carl: Was actually chosen at random, though it did turn out to sound much like my real first name, making it even easier to react to both of them.
Fox: Was what I started with, then remembered that almost everybody new to the fandom wanted to foxes at the time.
Pine Marten: I'd been listening to one of the Redwall books on tape, I think it was Mossflower, which featured a pine marten as a villain's aide or something.

As it's my first fursona, it's not terribly original, but it's not too bad.

Carter

Mmm, my story is that my fursona just kind of introduced himself to me as 'Carter' xD <3

Silvermink

Mine is really uninteresting, I assure you.

The character this name comes from is Dietrich, which I just picked out of the aether when I was coming up with a new character on Taps.

Tito42

Mine was a nickname, most non-english speakers couldn't pronounce my real name so someone decided on the more multicultural "Tito."  Also it was the name of that commmunist Yugoslavian dictator who had the balls of steel to tell Stalin to stfu which is cool. 42 because it is the answer to life the universe and everything.
PS, this is what part of the alphabet would like if Q and R were eliminated.

Tyins Darkwulf

New here:)
My name came from a misspelling of "Twins" - from a poorly translated japanese > english text I read somewhere on the internet a loooong time ago. I pronounce it (Tins). The last name, Darkwulf - just thought it sounded neat  ;D

Pixel

Mine's just based off my real nickname of being a total retro dork. :3
Prinnies, dood!

Tosca

I used to be really into Meerkat Manor (got lost somewhere around the fourth season, though) and always loved Tosca. Even if she did get kind of a bad rap. :U When renaming my 'sona for something like the sixth time, I went with that and it finally stuck.
Johnny was a chemist's son but Johnny is no more
what Johnny thought was H2O was H2SO4
Jimmy was a chemist's son but drank some HCl
he thought it was H2O and now he burns in hell

J.R.Bear

Well I just go by J.R. I gave my fursona the same name because I don't really view my furry nature as a separate entity but an overall part of me. KermodeJay is a username that I've used for a while now, Its pretty self explanatory and KermodeJR didn't sound right to me.

Nemulas

Nemulas ended up being a long drawn out process of.. well. just browsing through a random name generator. I was looking around for a good marksmen name for guildwars way back in the day and the name Nemulas sounded A touch more well. natureish sounding and unique too. which is why I liked it. and it happened at around the same time I first heard about the furry community, so the timing was perfect. hehe.

Wereman

Interesting tales and accounts, I could partly relate to Weremagnus' account (Tito42 is also innovative).
You find a name and an identity you can relate and you go by it.

The origin of the name came from Worman. Back there I deducted several terms such as man, woman, wolf, world and... worm. When venturing into into the realm of therianthropy (which I admit to have one paw in it), were creatures was interesting to learn more about. When developing the name of Worman to Wereman I went from the assumption that I would change my name and identity several times. This was the case with my animal side as it changed over the years. The "were creature" and "man" best fit into the name of Wereman which is something that has remained since.

Lime

I was talking to my friend while we were brainstorming my fursona, and since my fursonas base colour is lime green, i called her Lime  :birdy:
Im a Whovian :D

That makes it convenient, though a great name.
