New Bird in Town

Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to the whole forum thing, but here it goes!

The name is Ameknight, but a lot of people just know me as Ame. I just recently turned 20 and live by Gateway Skytrain station. I'm socially awkward unless I'm actually with someone I trust or in Cosplay (more on that later). I'm also new to the Furry community, and just recently attended VancouFUR this year as Video Game Room staff and security.

My fursona (I don't currently have very many references) is a red tailed black crested cockatoo with two pairs of wings, a suit which I'm getting some help for (mainly the head), but will be building the wings and body myself. I'm crossing my fingers to be able to have at least the wings and head done for VancouFUR next year! I've been building and creating costumes and props for several years, which is actually what got me into this community, and has me wanting to build this suit mostly myself, but you'll probably see me in the forums getting tips and advice!

A few other things about me are I love to curl up on a cloudy/rainy day with people and just watch movies (I heard something from someone that there are cuddle piles that happen, but being the awkward bird I am, I'd probably have to have someone to accompany me), love to cook and share it with friends, and attend conventions.

But ahhh welcome welcome, everyone is super duper kind here and even though I'm on the island, I know there's plenty of events on the mainland! Not really that great with doing the welcome thing but when I saw bird, I had to jump right into the board

And I'm all for going to the island! In fact, I'd love to go! But hotels and stuff are just skchas too expensive for me right now x.x;

Maybe when I get better pay, I'll take a trip and come to a few island events!

Omg, I cannot wait to see it! It's really rare to find bird suits around especially one with wings ovo/ also yeah, it's really pretty on the island, very uhhhh naturey haha. Anyway welcome again to the community, you should definitely come to some of the events when you have the money!
