So here's the down-low! (If I rant I'm sorry. ADD makes me distracted and type what comes to mind. Things might be a bit disorganized. ^^; Forgive me!)

I'm looking to move in with a few people in Surrey/Burnaby area. I have been hoping to rent a house like Kithop and I use to have (It was a furhouse called the Pound if some of you recall). I have found some places on Craigslist that look pretty good. Such as this place: http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/bnc/apa/4317567097.html
For my part of the rent I can pay $300 to a max of $350. (I only get $906 a month and it's hard to live off of that unfortunately)

I am on disability and am not able to a lot of things because of a childhood accident and need help with things like dishes, and even cleaning the litterbox. I can do some other things such as vacuuming or cleaning mirrors. (I have limited actions I can do and limited weight I can withstand before my back locks up.) So I will need help with things from roomies but I am more than willing to help out too and do what I can when I can.

I do need to be with tidy people as far as shared space goes. (I don't care what your own bedroom looks like so long as there is no rotting food, etc.) I have a bit of OCD and when things are messy I get a bit upset so being with those that are tidy will help me out a lot. I don't mind reminding people there is stuff to clean but if I have to wait two days for dishes to be moved from the sink things get a little crazy for me and others around me. I tend to take care of my own dishes and try and keep the sink and counters clear and clean.

I am also Vegan. I don't care if you cook meat, I will even cook it for you. But I do need respect about it. Such as not belittling me or making fun of me. I don't care what people eat. The only time I say anything is when it isn't healthy for someone (Like eating more than the recommended 70 grams of red meat a day. Things that can be harmful to others I worry about.). Also mixing meat or cheese or what not with my things. Cleaning the stove right after using it, stuff that should be done regardless of one's diet. (I do try and eat fish as ordered by the doctor but there is no term for someone that doesn't eat animal byproducts of any kind and eats fish. So technically still vegan because of that. Makes it complicated I know. I only eat two kinds of fish. I'm ranting...shutting up now.)

I am open minded and pretty quiet. Your gender, sexuality or religious beliefs are not a problem to me :3 I am looking for people that are open to talking calmly about any problems the house may encounter and can make agreements and what not like adults. I do not like the shouting/screaming scene so level-headedness is definitely a plus for all :3

I have two cats, and two birds. I have lots of furniture (L shaped couch that can split, cupboards, desk, double bed, and more). I have my own dishes. I have a juicer, food processor, and other things as well like that.

If anyone can find any other listings or places to live I am very interested!

If you have any questions please feel free to ask! Or if you want to discuss anything feel free to PM me :3

I will not be able to move at the end of February as I will be attending Vancoufur and I have three days of Artist Alley table so I am unable to use any time to move. But after that or before I can move.

I am not 100% sure but Kylar might be looking for a place as well. I am very willing to move in with him too ^^

If you want a reference I can get one too ^.^

Thank you sweetie I really appreciate it! Might wanna look for things with lower prices though... It's hard to split things evenly with something that's $2200 a month and I can only afford $300 or so.

Ok, I will do that. Just some people over value their space cause they think it's pretty or some other reason  :-\

Hey Star, you'd probably know better than I, but can't your rent go as high as $375 without eating into your spending money? I thought you got less if the rent was lower.

I cannot afford to pay more. I pay $300 to my mom but my caseworker told me to say I paid the full $375 because she knows it's impossible to live off the shit amount they give you. On welfare it's to make you get a job. But on disability it's ridiculous. She told me not to worry about it because I still give my mom gas money to get groceries and what not. According to my case worker about 80% of people either pay over $500 in rent and they only get $375 from welfare to cover it no matter what OR people are living in places for free or less than the $375. She told me people on disability really need more than what they are given especially to take care of themselves. Because of my weight limitations I cannot get groceries by myself. She thinks food delivery should be covered with it but it's not. That sort of stuff. If I paid $375 I wouldn't be able to afford my phone. Everything literally has an exact amount I have planned out. I cannot even pay for my own insurance anymore for my motorbike. Kuvi use to pay for that for me. So I have no way to drive around anymore either. I use to pay my mom the full $375 but found out very fast that I was not going to be able to eat, let alone do anything else. Just an extra $25 a month goes a long way for me. Other people on welfare and disability will tell you the same thing.

The financial stuff with Disability is utterly stupid. People that need to live near a hospital and rent is WAY too high end up fucked over a lot. It's really retarded and messed up system.

They also rarely tell you that you're allowed to earn up to a few hundred dollars without them taking anything away from what you get a month. "Spending money" is also so not what I would call the rest of what you get. It's "survival money." It's retarded. Having $556 a month for food, phone bill, internet bill, animal food (I would die before I ever lived without my cats. Literally. I need a companion animal just to go outside alone as you already know. I cannot function without animals.), my own food, and so on, it eats every penny. I have been saving ALL year just to be able to make it to Vancoufur. A few bucks a month and that's it. I'm hoping to make some money from it so I can help myself move as well. For deposit and what not.

They won't give me a bus pass either because I own my bike. Whether or not I pay insurance, they won't allow me to get a transit pass unless I sold it. I already went down that road three times. And even with that, I still would have to pay money for the pass.

No matter what, you get $531 to feed and clothe yourself (btw my clothes are all at least 3 years old and most are holey in one way or another). If you pay $300 a month they will only give you that. If you pay $400 they only give you $375. It's unfair and unjust. Especially for those like myself that are permanently on disability. I can't go anywhere or do anything, it's why furmeets and people coming out to see me are really important. It costs money to go out to Surrey/van and back, plus the cost of food while I'm out there (or just I don't eat lol). If I make the connections by bus it's $10 just to get to Surrey and back. But 90% of the time I cannot make the connections and end up spending $15 to $20. So just one trip out a month is about all I can afford and that's horrible for anyone. Plus the six to seven hours total in travel time is just shit.

Anyway, my case worker said not to declare if you rent is lower. Just take what you can because you won't get anymore. January was REALLY hard on me for money because I got so low on food. It's the beginning of the month and I only have less than $300 to last the rest of the month. My cat's food is $40-$70 a bag (if I get the larger bags they are cheaper in the long run. And I don't feed them shit from grocery stores that have cat, dog, and other animals in it. "Meat Meal" it's called. And my cat needs special food anyway.) I still am paying off my credit card and had to use some of my credit card last month to scrape by. And some of my medication I need isn't covered by disability's medical. I had to pay $40 for 20 pills. It's just... really really frigging hard.

Even with the help that my mom lets me pay $300, it's still really, really hard to pay any more. And my mom is going to start charging me more because winter utilities have gone really high and it's not even my fault but she needs the money. And it's in the contract to pay more. (It's actually what sparked me to try and find a new place when I posted this.) I took some money I had saved for Vancoufur just to go to taboo last week. The first time I've gotten to go out and do anything since Vancoufur of last year. That's how tight money is.

Hope that answers things in a long winded way. >< I'm sick again and am tempted to cancel or change the day for the furmeet this month.
