ok anyone on my list either a lawyer or know a great one? I am in need of a consultation over some legal matters for the impending death of my mother. I know I need to gear up for it. This is very important and serious. With the right information I could avoid all court BS with my fraudulent step father and this is highly important for my health. And suggestions are welcome.

I at least need a consultation. I can't afford much at this moment.

There are lawyers listed in your local yellow pages that offer a free 30 min consultation. they usually specify in the listing whether they do or don't.

I will not divulge in the private details here. I am simply asking for any recommendations for good consult before I just try finding one on my own.

Correct me if I am wrong, but did I once see you post that you are on disability?

If that is the case, you might want to talk to your case worker, and they may be able to set you up with legal counsel free of charge, through social services.

If I am totally out in left field, please feel free to ignore this comment. :P

Herb Dulay from Nordel Law Group in Surrey. He is one of the best honest working lawyers out there. Herb will make sure you are treated like a person and not a cash cow.

I once used the connections from the ministry  and they botched up my case to the point that I can't try again. I do not trust them and despite popular belief, not everyone on PWD gets a worker. I haven't had a worker in over five years.

The legal matter over the estate of a loved one can be tedious. Considering that you are facing your step father is a challenge and you will be in need of legal advise.

See to it that you meet 2-3 lawyers so you get an impression what is out there. Prepare a list of questions you want to ask them. Ask them questions about their experience in the field, whether they dealt with similar cases in the past.
Don't shy away to find out about their life, what they do outside of work, whether they have family, where they are from originally. There is a growing belief you connect with people that are likeminded, even professionally. I never forget the financial advisor I met last year, the first thing he talked about were his children. It's making a personal connection.

Lawyer? ^..^

im a law intern if that helps, if you don't find anything, I can also give a little bit of free Legal advice with the experience I have if that helps, but i'd rather not do it online unless it is an impossibility to get to each other :P

so just keep in mind if you cant find a real lawyer, you have me as a plan B :P lol
