A visitor furry from Brazil!

Hello everyone! I apologize in advance, my english might be a little bit rusty. My name is Henrik, and I'm a furry from Brazil.

Yeah, turns out that starting in January I will be studying at the University of Victoria, as a visitor student. It will be a whole year, so I figured it could be a good idea to get to know the fandom in BC :) maybe even go to a con. Here in Brazil the fandom is really small, so we don't get conventions like VancouFur (or any "hotel-kind-con" for that matter, at least not furry themed..); we do have a national furcon, though, but it's shaped more like Camp Feral from Ontario.

Well, about me.. I'm 25 years old, currently living in São Paulo, the "city of drizzle"! Yay for rain and pollution (it's also the biggest city in the southern hemisphere, apparently). I study oceanography and my fursona is a toucan :) believe it or not, this was an odd choice for a species even in Brazil (we do have a lot of snow leopards though. Go figure). Ironically, I'm a little afraid of flying, so the trip to Victoria should be quite an experience :/

I'll probably be living near the university for most of the year; Victoria seems like such a small town compared to São Paulo (which is a great!), so I think it'll be really easy to go anywhere :)
