I have my backing pretty much as shown above but have received no character entries as of yet. My own attempts at drawing a char. have not yielded promising results.

Essentially, you have summed up what I have ... I have your incomplete entry. Not sure where to turn from here. Being in a furry community of artists, I really didn't think this was gonna be a challenge to come up with something.

Well Star, if you are amenable, I think the character you did would fit well on the background I set up. I know I was asking for a Bust style thingy but your preview post looked awesome. If I can get your permission I'd like to see how it works into the background I have or I can send you the background template I've got for Photoshop and let you work at it.

Let me know. :)  (You will of course get the prize)  especially if nobody else enters lol..

I actually don't really like how your background looks with my character. It won't go with my drawing once I've finished colouring it. I have been looking for a beach scene not a hill or mountain. And solid cell shade colours too. The piece you did is very pretty, but the two art pieces clash and won't look good I'm afraid.

No problem - I can give a shot at drawing a different scene so that we can get a viable shirt if you like.   Just let me know what you're looking for.  (I get beach scene but any particulars ?.. lol)

I also have a bamboo tablet now thanks to a generous friend who gave me one randomly out of the blue - so that should help in my endeavors.

One source of inspiration for the background, as you mentioned in one of your previous posts, is to create a landscape based on this banner Zenia first designed.

I sent a work in progress picture to IrishLion. I already got a background done. I think it works okay it. It's here. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10541345/ I still have shading and highlights left. then it should be done and ready to enter said contest

Yes, I remember this wonderful artwork in the early stages and was impressed. The coloring and expressions are great.

There is one aspect I failed to mention previously, my only concern are the proportion of the body as the legs feel particularly short. Depending on your skills and Photoshop possibilities, please advise whether it is possible to draw the legs longer. Yet I will let Irish Lion judge whether it is something to consider.

The coloring and the expression are great. I feel having her alone would make it a great T-shirt.

The proportions are actually perfect. I drew her body fully before the banana skirt. You are not taking into account of how a hula dancer moves. I watched two hours of hula dancing and dancers. Her legs are perfect. I even showed a few perfectionists before I drew the skirt. Her legs are in motion and not straight up and down, her hips are jutting to one side, her body is contorting to another side. Thank you for your concern but her legs are just fine.

you may also want to take into account what her height is and the fact she is partially digidigrade.  :-3
