New to the city

I'm Tempest, a fox new to Victoria...Moved here for a job. Originally from Ontario. Just wondering if anyone wants to meet up and chill sometime since I don't really know anyone yet. :)

Oh, and kinda hoping the furs here in Victoria are cool and not super furry in public ^^;

So.... Yeah, if anyone wants to meet up that'd be awesome. :P

Hey Tempest, welcome to the Island. And the boards, for that matter. ^.~

I'm based on the island myself, though a fair ways away from Vic. We do have a decent sized population in Vic, and I believe that they have regular coffee meets, if memory serves me right. Click the link in red at the bottom of my post, and it will take you to the topic about the Vic meets.

Ahh, thanks for the pointing to of the coffee thing, Ruby... I'll have to try dropping by the next one, if I'm free at that time. And hi Senti, I'd love to chill...A Saturday or Sunday perhaps? Not much going on in my weekends as of late otherwise... The last couple of weekend it's been just me, laundry, and Dr. Who :P

I go to the coffee mets on Thursday  too, it's pretty quiet so far. No one is obviously furry in public at that event if you're nervous bout that.

Luckily for you, they're not represented here in Victoria, yay! On the island we leave the monkey business to the Port Alberni Furs. *Looking at Ruby*

Cool... So this coffee meet, does anyone have exact addresses or directions via bus? :P And a time range? I've yet to purchase a vehicle and I must say that it's not the best bus system to get around on. :P

It's at the Tim Hortons on Shelbourne and Cedar Hill crossing. 3749 Shelbourne is the exact address I think. It's in a tiny mall complex. It starts at 8pm, sometimes folks are a few mins late. Usually is 1-2hrs long. Bus 28/29 go right in front.  You can usually tell us cause we're the group that doesn't match!

Young folks can wear their ears/ear hats I think nowadays cause its popular currently with teen non-furs. Makes it hard to tell a fur in public, ha.

Hmmm, google maps tells me it'll take me 50 mins to get there from where I am in the city... Kinda had a long day at work today and I'll probably skip the meet this time... Maybe need week or when I get a car :P... But would anyone like to meet up closer to downtown where the buses actually converge on? Perhaps for sushi or some food sometime? :)

yeah its not overly popular these days, most people that can get away with it are young women, just because men like anything that looks cute on a woman ( yes gross generalization i know, but mostly true ) so you'd never catch me wearing anything furry in public, they'd just think i'm some kinda creep

i myself always wear my tail, but maybe cause i have blue hair, it distracts them from, not notice the tail or just not care.

i`ll be back over in the vic. area for most of the month of february.

Or it could be the 6 foot blue bunny who tries to talk his prey into climbing into the dinner pot. He almost plated himself a dragon at FurBQ! He can be very persuasive.
