I've changed my life quite a bit in the last little while, but the last couple weeks especially! and suddenly time seems to be moving really slowly, I keep going back and forth from websites like memebase, FA and BCF cause they have always been sort of go-to's for when I'm bored, but there's nothing new on any of them, and as much as I've been enjoying the various science and science related shows and documentaries I've been watching I've still got ants in my pants (yes I just said that, deal with it) I need something to occupy my time but not too much of it.

I guess what I'm asking is what do you do on a friday night? and can I come along?

I wish I would hurry up and lose weight already, I wanna start trying to do some parkour because honestly it looks REALLY fun, but I'm not in good enough shape for that yet D: and I'd like to go hiking but I live far from any forests. Would it be weird to just wander around the city and look for interesting things?

I am boring. I just read LJ communities (Housemate Horror is a recent site I found so I am reading all the entries in order) and fanfics.

If you want my every mans answer, I would say Lolbot or the Cheezeburger network, pages and pages of lulz to be had!

Otherwise for me I play older games or do sorta hokey things like meditate, philosophize or go for night time walks ^.=.^

Too bad you don't live in Kelowna. XD My friends and I have what we call a FNT (Friday Night Thing) and we've been doing it for over 6 years now. Everybody just comes over to my place and we hang out, talk, do fun things and so on and so forth.

When I want something to do, I usually track this forum, the Cross Time Cafe forums (my primary hangout), DeviantArt, FurAffinity (my backlog on FA is enormous), and LiveJournal.

It's rare that I run out of things to check on any of those, but if I do or get bored with that, I can always try working on an image idea in Blender...

Oh yeah, that sounds like fun! I used to so something like that with my friends but it ended up not really working out after a few months :-\
I did find someone to hang out with thought! just when I had just about given up hope of doing anything interesting tonight! didn't do much, just sorta walked around and talked about random stuff, but it was nice cause I was really itching to do something tonight.

well I don't really like DA, apparently they've done some pretty shitty stuff to artists, and also I prefer furry art anyways. I've never been a livejournal type of guy so that wouldn't help and I check FA like 5 times a day, so I never have more than like 10 pictures at a time.

well memebase is part of the cheezeburger network, and when I said memebase I actually meant several cheezeburger network pages, and I don't play video games, not anymore, escapism is a dangerous thing and its easy to fall into.

Random city adventures (ie. vaguelly wandering around until inspiration strikes/something happens) are one of my favourite things. My friend and I once went to get freezies, which resulted in an hour-long search around the entire neighbourhood looking for a convenience store that sold them; this somehow lead to us heading to a large local park with hiking trails and we proceeded to get lost and talk for two or three hours. I also once wound up taking a lot of odd, yet awesome, photos with some people as we fooled around with a bunch of junk behind a bowling alley at 1am.

It's always best if you have someone to do it with, though, for security and added adventure.

Time travle is a tricky, my fridays are just spent eather playing games watching movies or hanging out with my friends or hanging out with my cuzinz.
but then again i live in the woods so not much to do.
No wait i totaly do!

I usually work Saturdays. On Friday night I don't got time to go out so I make custom clothing and design stuffed animals at home. I used to draw traditionally but my netbook died and it was the only computer that worked with the scanner. If I'm on the computer I'm usually typing in random words into youtube trailed with either "music" "album" "playlist" "song" while looking up skill videos for speed drawings, carving, bear stuff, how to craft products, reference videos (weapons, combat, cars, animals).

If you want to work on some parkour maybe get a 4x4 stud. Walk across it, cat crawl, jump onto it, monkey vault, hand plant roll over it, dive roll over it, balance on it while doing things like passing a weight from paw to paw, playing video games, closing your eyes, squats, wildly waving your arms. Once you get a bit more comfortable try going to a school where they have the long bike racks and try some vaults. Go out and check some malls, they usually have different levels around them. Balance around fountains, take stairs two at a time (up and down), walk along a low edge and try to get your feet out in the open as much as possible, trying not to step down.

My bear and I think it would be cool if you came over to hang out tomorrow or Monday afternoon. The place is in Port Moody, really easy to get too. Go to Lougheed station, take the c24 and it stops right beside the house. Note me for more details. There's some trails through the local forests we can take. They're really nice. Come back, sit around the fire, watch a movie.

Science stuff, take a walk along the non-fiction isles, just glancing at eye level books and grab anything that looks interesting. Flip to random pages, look for interesting content, how its written, figure out what kind of opinion someone has on the topic then try to perceive it at a different angle. I've found some cool stuff at dollar stores at malls, little pyrotechnics, growing pigs and dinosaurs. I found a paper bonsai at Cole's today, it's been in the water for a couple hours and it's grown three crystal puffs.

On Wednesday or Thursday I'm either going on hikes with a friend up Grouse or doing some art and crafts with her. Currently we just started doing some painting. She's going to use the water colors but I like the cheap crayola paints. I'm sure you'd be welcome to come along with us. It's right near Lougheed Skytrain.

I could meet you at Nanaimo or Broadway and explore the local area around there, check out the shops for weird stuff and check out the parks.

It's fun to go onto Omegle. Most people go "asl?" then hang up if you don't meet there standards but you can end up typing with some really interesting people. Funny thing is, you can be yourself or you can just roleplay and people love it. "Rawr! I'm a bear! You smell like fish" Some people play along and some go "WTF" it's all fun.

I like to wander around downtown Vancouver going between apartment buildings and looking behind them. You come across gardens and patios. The patios are a good practice for parkour. Climb the railing and jump down. A fun game is, start half way up the block on one side of downtown and make it to the other side without walking down a street, you can cross but don't walk along them. I've been in some pretty hairy situations where I've had to walk along the ridge of a water fall and had to steal a hose to climb down a wall. Parkour wasn't about running and doing flips. Relax, take a walk, find a direction and don't stray from it. Freedom of movement.

This is a start. I'd like to hear what other hobbies you're interested in, maybe I could help you out and join in. Do you work or go to school on a strict schedule?

Sevrin

Your bear? is that your mate?
I can't do much parkour shit right now, cause I'm not in good enough shape, also I have a 3rd degree burn on my finger and the doctor says to try and use the hand as little as possible or I might need a skin graft, though I might be able to start some basic training, walking across tiny beams and shit.

I would be down for doing something some day, maybe today as it starts getting dark or something? I'll send you a PM

kohl

The bear is my boyfriend. I don't think I can ever have puppies with him though.

Just work on some foot balancing. Jump to a narrow ledge, start close then work your way out. Get the feel of it then start adding some flourishes, crouch after the landing, spin 180 on landing, land and start walking along the plank. Do that for awhile then relax and play some games. Get a handheld and try to walk along the plank as you play a game, try to occupy your mind as much as you can while still working your feet along the beam.

By today you mean Sept 9? That's cool. You figure around seven o'clock? That's alright.

Sevrin

I don't play video games, bad habit, I'm not gonna fall into that again, so no handhelds for me, but there is some construction going on nearby, I wonder if they have any extra lumber they would let me have.

kohl

Pfft. Looking at the home depot site, wood posts are so expensive. Construction sites are usually really strict about there waste. Maybe if there's no fence and some off cuts laying around you can grab them and hurry home. Just throw them on the carpet and play floor is lava. If you got one of the wooden post closet bars and a couple phone books you can practice some moves as well. Just be careful, take it slow.

Silvermink

Speaking of parkour, someone at work passed this along: http://www.originsparkour.com/

Sevrin

oh man that's cool, I might check that out, would be a good place to practice before I move on to real world stuff so I don't end up cracking my head open.
