Taking a Break

(This is a personal statement directed towards a number of the BC furs Vancouver group.  Feel free to disregard if you don't know me and/or don't give a shit.)

Hey guys.

I have a lot of fun with this group.  Many of you are really good friends of mine who I absolutely love getting to see after a hard week at work.  Not a single day goes by that I don't think about at least one of my friends in the BC furries group and I've made it a point to come and see you guys as often as I can for the last several months.  I truly am proud to call myself a fur even if just for the opportunity to get to hang with a few of you.  It makes me fuckin stoked as all hell to be able to actually VISIT furries instead of being stuck to MSN or FurAffinity all hours of the day.

However, I fear it's time I take a bit of a break from the partying and chilling with my friends in Vancouver.  As most of you know, I live in Chilliwack, and while I do not find it to be too much of a drive, gas prices aren't getting any lower, and neither is the price of beer or food.  Coming out to party, hang-out and go out with my friends is taking a toll on my spending money and it's also keeping me from being very productive.  I'm not saying I'm done coming out to visit, but I am saying that I'm going to have to really limit how much I do.  Since probably December, I think it's been almost every single weekend that I've come out to visit the numerous groups and cliques of furs who enjoy my company and can put up with my shenanigans.  I'm probably going to have to limit it to once every 2 months, or so, from now on.

I felt the need to post this because I've had quite a presence out there lately, and there are a number of people to whom I promised that I'd try to make it to their get-togethers/game nights/art-jams/etc on a regular basis.  I don't want people to think I just abandoned the community.  Josh and I are looking to move into a house together and I'm gonna need to be more frugal with my time and my money.  I will say, though, that when I do get back into my own living-space, our doors will almost always be open to furries who want to come and chill with us if they ever find themselves out in The 'Wack.

Stay classy, BC furs. <3

I can relate. Furries are expensive to hang out with!  :(

Congratulations on the new house! Whereabouts are you moving may I ask? Somewhere closer to the coast?

Planning on renting for a little while longer.  I want to buy a house here in the Wack, but I need a considerable amount for a downpayment.  I don't want to be spending all my paychecques on a mortgage. =\  For now, looking for a decent property for rent here, in town.  I don't see myself leaving Chilliwack, not for a long long time.

I see I see. It's certainly much cleaner out there, and no traffic!  :D

I hope all goes well for you, finances and whatnot. I'll look forward to seeing you in the future, after your break.

I've been silently raging inside since that whole ordeal.  My therapist tells me I need a break from that which ails me. =P

Haha, no, Mediar and Apoxon were trying so hard to steal my cowboy hat at last week's fursuit bowling. I was being intentionally overdramatic about it and it was pretty funny. =P

Holy you were out in Vanny nearly every weekend? No wonder you were surprised you never met me!

My deepest condolences you'll be staying in Chilliwack for longer periods than before. Though I can't relate to what you're going through right now, I certainly do sympathize and will help whenever I can. Same goes for Tim ;)
