Ever since I was a teenager, I always wanted to get into RC planes. Several decades later, I finally jumped the one of the major 'hurdles' and finally got myself a radio controller.

After getting the controller, I realized that RC technology sure has come a long ways since the days of long antennas, frequency tags and crystals.

Hopefully, by this summer, I will have gotten around to finishing a plane or two. I was wondering if anyone else has similar plans for this year, maybe do a meet up.

Also, another reason I had gotten the controller, was to help me with testing some animatronics for suit projects.

I know a friend that has several rc planes. He says the only issue is getting permission to fly them. there are many parks that do not allow these "toys" to be flown in their respective areas. You must either get permission and/or get a certain permit to fly them in pre-approved designated areas.

I would have to ask, does he fly gas or electric? The whole field of RC planes has changed in recent years. No longer are you stuck flying large gas planes, but now you can also now fly little electric planes. There are even electric helicopters as well.

I was talking to someone about a flying club out in Chilliwack, they are pushing for electric fliers. Only the people have been with the club since the early days are allowed to fly any still surviving gas RC planes.

I won't need to go out to a park to fly anything that I build, since I have several city blocks worth of open, empty sand lots just a short walk from where I live.

I have a R/C Stuntplane i'm not using, i bought it on a whim and decided not to bother investing into it, lol
Basically...Kind of a Big Deal...

What were you thinking of doing with it? And what do you mean by 'investing into it?' By that I'm guessing its just a bare plane at the moment? No radio-power?

Servo's are installed, have several electric motors for it, slight damage to the balsa on the wing tip. Wouldn't take much to get it flying, I just don't have the time or interest. You can have it for $50 ;)

Would it be possible to come over and see what you have in person? I'm not exactly looking for a stunt plane, but I'd still be curious to see what you have. (I already have a radio system, battery and older motor system) Fixing it shouldn't be hard, considering I've made planes before. I could swing the $50 but it would have to wait till near the end of the month, when I can afford it.
