Well I consider myself fairly knowledgeable in the way of movies and I want to know what you guys think is good, it dosnt have to be furry just anything you find good. Basically the opposite with what not good, I personally try to watch what people say is bad just so I can add to a conversation legitimately and sometimes a bad movie will surprise you.

I will give a list of newer movies that are actually not bad especially now a days where the movies are based on quantity over quality.

OH FYI slight SPOILER ALERT!! I will try not to give to much away

Today I watched a nice little movie based on little red riding hood
It was interesting thrilling and drew me in, the acting was decent and I loved how they actually made the werewolf look cool not some grotesque half human half wolf thing. Sadly it was somewhat predictable I didn't have it pegged the whole time but I wasn't surprised to much. Over all not bad.

Okay for those people that love Zombies and Zombie movies I have one you might not have herd of its called (Extinction - The GMO Chronicles) or just Extinction surprisingly good and well thought out movie. You may get a little confused but for the most part its good. The action is realistic, the acting is good for a zombie movie. OH and no one got stuck in a basement for once!! It seems like whoever made it was a big fan of left for dead because it steals some ideas from that but at the same time almost feels like a movie LFD with different people and ALLOT more explanation! A really interesting thing that made me like it was they took into account of some other environmental things that would take affect in a apocalypse.

OKAY SOooooooooooo now for something shity

Zookeeper
I actually didnt get through that whole. I shut it off later than I would have thought but I did get the idea and could tell you the whole story just by asking you to watch most of all the movies Kevin James have done. It ends happy with him getting the girl thats it end of story. Watch it sure why not it would be awesome if you where high as ****.

Thor
I am sorry pretty lights and cool special effects dont toss me off the shity acting and the fucked up costumes! There was not moment that I believed any of it could be real or drew me in. It was a sad moment for Anthony Hopkins he is so much better than that. However maybe cuz I love epic style and muscles but I LOVED the gate keeper played by Idris Elba.

So tell me what you guy think of these movies and my reviews and is there any greats and fakes you know of.

Tora Tora Tora (1970)

My personal favorite war film.  This aint no Michael Bay steroid-induced backdrop to a love triangle.   This is the real story of what really happened at Pearl Harbor seventy years ago on December 7, 1941.

The film's production speaks to the largess of its accuracy.  It was an Anglo-Japanese production, with the Japanese scenes filmed in Japanese by Japanese directors and crew.  The climax was staged in Pearl Harbor itself, complete with full-sized mockups of battleships and Zeros.  The technical advisors were the actual people who planned the attack.

As a sign of how enduringly accurate the images from this movie have remained, footage was used to supplement the Darwin raid in Australia (2008), despite the two events being thousands of miles apart and the two films separated by four decades.  Even the planes still make appearances at airshows (I caught one such demonstration at Abbotsford in 1992).

Toy Story 3. Especially the ending. I wouldn't give out spoilers here, but hell, it was sure a tear jerker, like my friends, whom had watched it before me, stated.

The Good
Fire and Ice - Animated movie set in a prehistoric-esc era with magic, axe battles and women
Stake Land - Post apocalyptic movie with vampires. If you liked the atomosphere in The Road, you'll like this.

The Bad
Ninjas VS. Vampires - Terrible acting, lame plot. Looks like the movie was shot for shits and giggles between a bunch of friends.

The Weird
Voyage Of The Rock Aliens - Musical about aliens coming to earth set in the 80's

Flash Gordon (1980)
This film is great fun is you are in the right mindset.  It's not meant to be taken seriously.  It's good old-fashioned pulp science fiction.  If you are unfamiliar with the old comic books and serials, you might think this was just a cheap knockoff of Star Wars.  And you would be partially right. Dino De Laurentis, the man responsible for the 1970s King Kong and horribly manhandling Dune, was looking for a way to cash in on the latter seventies sci-fi and fantasy bonanza.   But unlike a lot of other such films around the time, this one did not take itself seriously, and the results are pleasantly divertive.

I DO remember the cartoon from my childhood
whether it does the comic book and original content any justice I cannot say

I've been meaning to see this, any movie with a soundtrack by Queen is worth watching in my books!

This is an extremely good little independant film appreciated by anyone who likes movies highlighting the sharp edges of reality, with a bonus added dimension for anyone who has ever worn a costume.

So I watched (War Horse) last night despite the little problem of always having thoughts drifting back to Warhorse on FA  :gay:  :-3 :gay: :-3
It was a good movie but really I dont believe it is worth all the praise it got, it wasnt spectacular to the point I was unable to speak or aw struck, it had its tear jerker moments but they where predictable like Karate Kid sort of predictable if you know what I mean. I do have to like this movie because there isent a SINGLE AMERICAN IN IT!! and it was a WW1 movie and there really isent enough of those. To my surprise they addressed the fact that the British attempted cavalry charges at the beginning of the war and failed miserably. I also really liked that they didnt make the "bad guys" really BAD guys they had good and bad on both sides. They managed to keep the horse consistent! it actually looked like the same horse though the whole movie. The acting was scattered because there was soooooo many people in this movie lol.
In closing I liked it go see it  :-3 8)

what were they thinking???, horrible movie, wasted money at the theatre, and i thought maybe i was just expecting too much, so last christmas i watched it on t.v., well i tried, but yup it was worse than i remembered, i mean, really?, what are austin powers like jokes doing in a wholesome general entertainment type of movie anyways?, like the scene where the cat looks at a photo of the mom that is on the living room table, and picks it up and opens it like a playboy centerfold "really?".

now that "kabluey" movie does look like worth watching, i look forward to borrowing a dvd of it someday, hint hint anyone.

October Sky (1999)

Coming of age stories are both transcendent and a dime a dozen.  Everyone thinks they can capture the angst of youth in our time.  But sometimes you have to step into the shoes of a person living in another time to get it right.  Case in point, this much underappreciated little film by future Captain America director Joe Johnston starring a young Jake Gyllenhaal and based on the real story of Homer Hickam: the son of a coal miner who decided that he wanted to build a rocket.

Pay it Forward. (2000)

Don't listen to Rotten Tomatoes - watch the movie. It's emotionally worth it.

As quoted from IMDb - Storyline section:
Young Trevor McKinney, troubled by his mother's alcoholism and fears of his abusive but absent father, is caught up by an intriguing assignment from his new social studies teacher, Mr. Simonet. The assignment: think of something to change the world and put it into action. Trevor conjures the notion of paying a favor not back, but forward--repaying good deeds not with payback, but with new good deeds done to three new people. Trevor's efforts to make good on his idea bring a revolution not only in the lives of himself, his mother and his physically and emotionally scarred teacher, but in those of an ever-widening circle of people completely unknown to him.

Run Lola Run (1998).

It's a foreign film that I had to watch for a class, but I'm glad that my prof made us watch it. It basically tells a story about the protagonist named Lola in a multilinear fashion. I highly suggest it! It can be a bit confusing, but it's sorta a good confusing like Pulp Fiction (another movie that I think is pretty good!) Run Lola Run isn't bloody like Pulp Fiction though.
