DesertBus is on once again.
Its a charity fundraiser to raise funds for Childs Play.

They have live auctions, Famous people call ins and visits, funny challenges for donations, etc.

Those guys play Desert Bus non stop for X number of hours. The number of hours is based on how much people donate to the Child's Play charity. They have two live stream going, one of them playing and answering questions, and one of the actual game. If you watch the game stream for like ... 10 seconds ... you'll know why Desert Bus is a grueling thing to play. But it's for charity! The live stream of them playing is also funny because they don't just sit there, they do stuff, and the people who play are mostly form the Loading Ready run improve comedy troupe.

The length they have to drive is donation based. For example, one person donates $5, they have to drive for an hour. The next person has to pay $10 to add another hour. The required donation becomes exponentially larger, but it keeps them driving for longer and longer. Currently, they have to drive for 117 more hours, and to make it 118 hours, someone needs to donate $436.58.

They also have silent auctions running, and you can just donate any amount you wish. All the donations go straight to the Child's Charity.

Holy crap!! I'm watching Desert Bus, right now, and correct me if I'm wrong or I'm completely missing something here: but at this hour, Greg Dolphin, as well as a few other AE people are on Desert Bus. Is this only this year or something, or did they do this last year? Or am I completely missing the point and am I just that stupid to not realize that they did this last year as well??? CUZ HOLY CRAP THAT IS SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! :D

This is DesertBus 5. As such, this is their 5th year. Some of the people in the group mentioned earlier on that they have been to a ton of anime cons, including AE. (DesertBus is based out in Victoria, in case you did know :3 )
