I wanna test the waters and see who might be interested in helping me form a furry house. I am looking in the Surrey / New West area ... I wanna rent a 4 or 5 bedroom detached house. Its my hope that it would be pet friendly.Since I haven't actually found the house yet, I don't know the costs yet. I am trying my best to keep the costs as low as possible. Rent will include hydro, gas, cable and internet. House duties will be shared.
Its worked for us up to this point but I must move for July 1st so ... thought it would rock to start up a fur house ... Anyone else in?

If I knew how much rent would be I would put my hand up for it. I am currently applying for disability, but I don't know how long that might take to get. I have some money from a tax refund I could use for rent but again, I don't know how I will be given.

the application period takes 3 months, they will never rush it through, they will always finalize the application after the 3 month mark, and you may need to appeal also, did you have the help of advocates for the application process?

(i'm in the same boat, i was rejected for my first application, and almost a year later my second application is due to go through within the next month)

The 3 month thing is specifically welfare. From the things I have read, disability is random, there is no specific time plot. I guess it all depends on one's medical conditions or something.

no, welfare is instant aslong as you have the 2 year indepentance or medical exemption, the PWD application period is 3 months, it's how long my first application took, and it's how long my second is taking, it's guarenteed to be almost 3 months

I'm not applying for welfare. I'm applying for disability. It's a really big difference, disability is much much harder to apply for... which... makes it difficult for me on more levels than one can imagine.

i know, i am on my second PWD application, i was just clarifying a few things, any advocate with experience will tell you ALL PWD applications will take no less that 3 months, maybe more, there is a manditory 3 month wait unless you have some miracle working for you
