Last night actor Dom Deluise passed away in his sleep in Los Angeles at the age of 75.

For those of you who don't know the name, Deluise appeared in many films and television shows such as All Dogs Go to Heaven as the voice of Itchy and in the American Tail series as Tiger the cat. He has also appeared in live action movies such as Robin Hood Men in Tights and Blazing Saddles.

The man was a legend in my opinion, one of those actors whose voice and manerisms could be picked out a mile away, though he was as not a famous face as some actors he was always there shoving a laugh down our throats with a passion that dwarfed many more famous men.

Little did many know that he also wrote childrens books and did stand up comedy. He loved children and help a special passion for making them and everyone else in the world laugh until we peed out pants.

Dom, though you suffered many problems with depression, addiction and disease in your life I wish you good luck on the next stage of your existence and I hope that you find the peace and happiness that your life was always meant to be.

We will not forget you and your wacky antics both on camera and behind a microphone will bring tears of laughter for many decades to come.

RIP Dom Deluise

Agreed. I just put up some YouTube links up on my LJ: http://tonyfox.livejournal.com/582955.html

He was great in pretty much everything, these are a few of my favourite bits with him.
