Event Creation Tutorial?

I think it might be hand if there was a Calendar event creation tutorial. I have made a few events now, but I never know what order to create the event and topic in, nor what "Days before sorting registrations" and "Days before allowing confirmation" actually do. Also, is there no way to edit an event once posted? Or is that an admin-only thing?

I believe the creator is able to modify their own event if they were the one that made it. When looking at your even thread there will see a red asterisk on the top left near the name of the event, by clicking that you will be able to modify the event. Also if you go to the calendar you will see the red asterisk next to the name of the event. Also on the bottom of the home page there will be a red asterisk new the name of the event.



Event Title:                                               This is where you name your event.
   Year:    Month:    Day:                            Fill in the starting day of your event.
Number of Days:                                       Select how many days your event will be running (Don't forget to include the starting date)
Max Attendants                                         Set this to how many people are allowed to register for the event.
Days before allowing confirmation:             Set this to however many days you wish for people to confirm they are going.
Days before sorting registrations:               Set this to however many days you wish for the forum to start sorting the confined people and unconfirmed people.
Days before closing registrations:               Set this to when you want to end the registration.
Terms and Conditions:                               Set your terms and conditions (This will appear when the user registers for the event.)
Subject:                                                   This is where you fill in the information about your event.
Message icon:                                           This is the icon that is going to be next to your thread.



eg.  Not a real event

1. Event Title: Fursuiting on the beach!   
2.    Year: 2011   Month: 10   Day: 14
3. Number of Days: 3
4. Max Attendants    15
5. Days before allowing confirmation: 5   
6. Days before sorting registrations: 3
7. Days before closing registrations: 1   
8. Terms and Conditions: You must have fun!
9. Subject: This is going to be a fursuit party on the beach!
10. Message icon:  ;D



So this event would be the following.

1. The event is called "Fursuiting on the beach!"
2. The event will happen on "October 14 2011"
3. The event will last for "3" days
4. Only "15" people will be able to confirm that they are going
5. On the 9th of October people will be able to confirm that they are going to this event
6. On the 11th of October the registration will start sorting the confirmed and unconfirmed people in the list
7. On the 13th of October the registration will be closed
8. The terms and conditons that people are agreeing to when registering is that "You must have fun!"
9. The details of the event is "This is going to be a fursuit party on the beach!"
10. The icon for your thread will be " ;D"
