I wasn't gonna post in this thread, but four pages on I just have to put this in... coming from a friend who will hopefully recognize it, but I won't identify.

"Yanno, I'm sure that this furry TLC thing will be just as damaging as the MTV special / CSI episode... that is, people'll forget in a week."

I agree with him.

That is all.
Contrary to popular belief, popular belief is not an opinion.
"Newton was not the first of the age of reason, he was the last of the magicians." - John Maynard Keynes
"My business is to teach my aspirations to conform themselves to fact, not to try and make facts harmonize with my aspirations." - Thomas Huxley

What bothers me is the fact that she's not actually crazy, she is an actress who wanted on this show. If she were batshit insane and really did wear her fur-suit everywhere this program wouldn't be quite so offensive.

I agree. The fact that they had to have a casting call and look for a furry to act batshit insane, because let's face it, we're not nearly as weird as everyone else would like to believe we are, is the part that gets me. They couldn't just be satisfied that furries are actually normal people.

Although she DID sell her dignity for $1500 so maybe she has more problems than we're giving her credit for?

Ditto - I said as much in that context, too. :)

Actually, what I said was something along the lines of "most people will have forgotten it in a week, but [some] furries will complain about it for years".

The show made me want to fursuit. I should start on my own fursuit and host fursuit tea parties. TEA PARTIES IN FURSUITS!

And as for any bashing that was done in the show, I accepted the good with the bad and laughed at myself. There's always going to be a little bit of truth in every bad comment they make, and people just need to accept it.

The girl seemed to be a little too obsessed with fursuiting though. As much as I don't mind the idea, it shouldn't be pushed to such a level. Just like religion. You don't like it when Christians push the church stuff everywhere they go. You have to respect other people as well. Photoshoots? Great. Meet ups? Excellent. Family events? NO. Just for the heck of it? Depends...

"What fursuit? This is my body, Mom. Just accept me as I am! *cry*"

We need a viewing party for this or something D: It is watchable online somewhere?
There are 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those that don't.

Apparently, mad people are saying it was all a lie:

And also, a drawing in the feature was a direct trace of a work of Kalida's... How did the producers of this show let this infringement go through? You've got a lawsuit in the works...

The bitch left her FA, DA and all other former forms of communication after she did this. I bet she never was a real fuzzling to begin with, she probably got into the community just prior to getting on to the show.  :(

There was an article I posted a couple pages back where it quoted her off youtube as admitting that it was fake; she apparently told them it was just a hobby and they said "we'll take you anyway." She was acting through the whole thing. It was all a big fat lie.
