Silver and I put one of our dogs down today. Buffy was actually Silver's dog of 16 years, but we decided together it was in Buffy's best interest to put her down. She has health issues like major arthritis, dementia and breathing issues. We receive an urn with her ashes on Monday or Tuesday.

We took Buffy to the farm for a last run around, will post pics shortly.

No, but her Great Great Grand Daughter(Bobbi) was the one on your lap. I was holding back her Grand Daughter (Dasha) and Great Great Grand Son (Quinton)

It's been 21 years since my cat Biffer was put down, but I can still remember clearly telling him that I would always remember him after he was gone, and I have never forgotten.  Sixteen years is a wonderfully long life for a dog, and I hope she gave you some wonderful memories that the two of you can always clutch close to your hearts and endure beyond the pains of this moment.

Here's the last Pictures of Buffy that we took when we took her to the farm. Something she has not been allowed to do in almost 2 years due to her issues.

I wanted to make sure she had the best last day I could possibly give her.

I will miss her and love her always.
