Drewdle: This is one of the reasons i love hondas ^.=.^ they are SO friggin reliable! no matter what!!! and TOUGH O.=.o

Mediar: Ah the rust is a bugger... the main reason the rust forms in the wheel wells of the hondas, is they have a piece of rubber meant to protect it, but this rubber holds moisture and dirt there... starting the rust >.=.< and alot of times the door rust is from the door drains being plugged.

Can I mow my lawn with your Honda? :P

Yeah, that van is no longer around however, nobody would pass it in an MVI here, because everything on the drivetrain is aftermarket, and so were the struts.  It was origonally rated 1 ton, but it was upgraded to a 3 ton luxury van, because it was towing trailers back in Saskatchewan.

Plus, it was the length of a limosine, it guzzled so much gas that it would only give you 12 miles per gallon.  (Yeah, I know, we don't use Imperial anymore, but that thing didn't have KM on it.)

My current vehicle is a rustbag '91 Nissan Pickup.  My very first 4 cylinder vehicle.  I was surprised when I was able to do a brake stand on it.  Everything's still original on it too, runs really nicely, and has 400,000km on it.  I was surprised that it was running so well with the distributor not even bolted all the way closed...!  Oh well, it's my new project.

Mah front end? You should catch me on MSN. Bust just for the quickness sake on here. Took it in, mechanic was actually amazed how well she handled for her age, we went for a ride through bumps he even woke up a lot of elderly people by running her up to 6,500 RPMS through a quiet apartment block area in second gear XD (trying to see if she had bad torque-steer but she did not have anything outside the predictable hairline)

In short it seems im just being analy paranoid and at worst maybe my tires are starting to wear down possibly *shrugs*

I will need a new rad soon, mine is slowly leaking due to its real old age (guess that's the problem with rads that got such fine veins and cooling fins, the work epic-ly but they do suffer from aging a bit more) good thing the job and the rad is surprisingly a cheap one to do!

I wanna get myself a cheap real beat up EG just to practice on... Im too chicken to risk it on my nice SI which is in pretty good shape already XD NEARLY 300,000 KMS!

the mufflers are welded on, the clamps are just for the pipe hangers. the header collectors are the only gasketed area on the exauhst that is bolted together.

I love the fact that the car is a wagon. Wagons have got to be the most underrated body styles in existence. I had a wagon once, albeit nothing like yours (an '88 Reliant K 2.5), and it kicked all kinds of ass from a usefulness angle. Speed, not so much. But you basically have the makings of a sleeper-dragster wagon there. Of which I totally approve.  :birdy:

Red: Very nice, right as i type this im doing an emergency wheel bearing job on my cousins car, were at three hours now, BUT thats with missing two of our most important tools (the sockets needed to remove the axle nut, and the ones used to beat the old bearing out) AND with his tie rod end threads getting completely FUDGED, like... so bad i have never seen threads so bad before >.=.< im slightly not enjoying working on fords right now....

I'm a licensed technician and I bought this tracker a little while ago but someone offered me more then I could refuse so I sold it but it was a fun project.

When I first got it.

Pulling the engine

I redid the rocker panels with epoxy mixed with sand for some texture

the whole interior was pulled out and epoxied as well..  no rust!  You can sink this thing and its good. well not in salt water.

Engine out in 2 hours and I was taking my time but I do this for a living so it was nothing.

Assembly

The finished engine,   1.6L bored out .050    Isky Torquer Cam  Ported and Polished
Everything was done by yours truly as I had access to a complete machine shop.

A little sompin sompin for the highway that i built.. you cant just buy kits for this vehicle.   8psi

Sold it last November  Guy loved the shape it was in and I showed it off to him a little bit and then it was sold!

Though I didn't put an oil cooler on it but I told the person I sold it too he better put one on if he tows anything with it.

It was a fun build.   this thing would go pretty good down the highway and drop a gear and floor it no problem 160+

Well I fixed a friend's truck yesterday. Another of her friends offered to do her spark plugs, so she took him up on it. After he was done the truck would idle no prob, and they left it at that. Later on when she wanted to go home the truck would die as soon as she hit the gas. So here I am thinking the guy F'ed up the order of the spark-plug cables. So I go and have a look, they look to be ok, so I pulled the driver, front one off. The guy had pulled on the cable not the boot, of course pulling the metal connector back into the boot, killing the cable. I try to push it back and it ends up ruining the cable all together. We then head off to Lordco and they didn't have the set she needed, then we go to Crappy Tire and get a set there. I go through replacing the cables (and checking the plugs have been put in correctly). I finish the driver side and look at the passenger side and let this huge sigh with a sarcastic giggle out. My friend goes "Oh that is not a good giggle", so I explain what I saw:

On the passenger side you have 4 plugs:
1
2
3
4

What I saw was:
cable-1 was into plug-1, but cable-2 was stuffed back behind the something or other in the engine compartment and cable-3 was in to plug-2 and cable-4 was into plug-3 leaving plug-4 empty:

1-1
3-2
4-3
0-4

I look at the disconnected cable and he FUBAR'd that one too. I sigh and replace the rest of the cables of course guessing that I had the right order down. By the luck of whatever god was around the truck fired and ran perfectly fine.
