need windows xp home help

Hello everyone i need some help with my labtop seems tthe poor thing finialy had enough of me and had a system 32 dll crash the hard drive is fine just cant get the computer to start up passed the black screen were its telling what file has died all its telling me is that its system 32 dll is missing or corrupted please reinstall the bootdisk from you're windows xp cd.  however i no longer have the cd as the computer is about 5 or 6 years old. cant remember. people tell me to just buy a new one as they are cheap. i know this but its what i have on the computer i need and cant lose hence why i need to know if some has a bootdisk for windows xp home that they can lend? just to see if i can fix it. i live in surrey my number is 778-232-4028 txt if you can but please add your name so i know who you are thanks if you can help.  otter
