Couple of poems that have been written at various points in the last year...

Introduction:
Here I sit
Writing blindly
Mesmerized by the words
That flow free from my fingers
What am I?
Who am I?
I am a pacifist fighter
I am a hate-filled lover
I am an illiterate writer
I am an average non-conformist
I am a noble everyman
I am a consenting revolutionary
I am a softhearted bastard
I am a fucking saint
I am a pious demon
I am blind painter
I am a mute singer
I am a false truth
I am a living contradiction
Wrapped in self-loathing and self-gratification
I am the one
Who needs no introduction.

Misfortune:
You call me a black cat
Cause I'm just bad luck
You say I'm a curse
But I don't give a fuck

You blame your misfortune
On everything that I do

I've made mistakes
That much I know
But you run to me
You've nowhere else to go

You scream that you hate me
But love everything we've been through

We've been through so much
And I wouldn't change a thing
We've weathered the winter
And we wait for the spring
If our love is a battle
I'll fight til the end
I'll be the one
On which you can depend

Thank you for sharing! I enjoyed both of these, but my favorite part is probably the first verse of Misfortune. Excellent rhythm.

Rorschachtastic

The poetic contradiction of "Introduction" was amusing and inspired. "Black Cat" was also quite thought provoking, nice rhythm and verse.
"This city is afraid of me. I've seen it's true face."
