I know that one. :( Though I find for me it's usually an intensifier rather than a direct cause. Last fall was a complete mess for me after something else sparked it off.

It's quite the interesting point, but perhaps in the society of today, what constitutes as offensive diction in the past is not so as it is today. I daresay that the 6 letter word beginning with an F and ending with a T is more grave to our generation than the four letter F word or the language of the church.

Occasional profanity's all right as long as it's not someone going off on a long invective-laden rant, and I daresay most of the underage members of the forum probably aren't going OH NO I'VE NEVER HEARD ANYONE SWEAR BEFORE either. And, as Selkit mentioned, it's not banned in and of itself.

People who are always complaining about language use are more annoying then the language use ever is. Nobody likes to be censored so its best not to pointlessly try.

make one comment to remind, not censor anyone, about their language use and you get accused of doing it all the time.  some people need to get out more.

Fortunately my truck isn't as hard to fix as I thought... all I need is a new alternator belt and someone to fit it.

My complaint... my dad's in England and I need that alternator belt fitted before I can acknowledge a request for an interview as a delivery driver!
