Things to complain about

I was supposed to have my tubal ligation today. I got to the hospital at 2:10pm as instructed. Got admitted, filled out more paperwork in another area, changed into hospital gowns... Then sat in another waiting room until 4:30 (an hour past my scheduled surgery) until a nurse came up and told me that the current surgery ran REALLY late and now they didn't have time for me. Grr. So I had to get redressed and have to call my gyno (who is my surgeon) on Monday to reschedule.

At least last time they phoned me three days in advance to cancel. This time my sister took the day off of work to help and the shop I work at was closed until 1:30 (today and tomorrow) 'cause no one can cover for me.

thats the healthcare system for ya, if it's life threatening they only make you wait for about five hours to get treatment everything else is like winning the lottery.

In fairness to the healthcare system, which is at times less than inspirational, they cannot simply conjure doctors to fill shortages. It can be frustrating, though, for sure. :( I hope the third time proves to be, as they say, the charm, Zenia.

someday soon they may be able to construct doctors though, robotics are starting to go into the realm of sci fi movies.

Yes, I hope the third time is the charm. :P I've been wanting the surgery for 15 years, and have been waiting since last October to get it done. I suppose I can't complain too much though, since MSP covers the whole cost.

A whole week after moving my new desk in, I still haven't moved the old desk out.
Granted, I did injure my knee that day, so had to rest for a couple of days after that, but I still haven't been doing much towards moving it out...
