Day eight of being sick and counting. I am starting to think I may have something fairly serious going on, as I feel worse today than I have the entire duration. Hospitality industry; Meet interesting new people, help them with their travel needs, acquire their strange and exciting transmissible 'gifts'. Plus side? I don't think I've gotten quite so much art done in a -long- while. Downside? I managed four shifts sick last week. I don't think I have the strength left to do it again this week and I may have to call in sick. I'll see how tomorrow's shift goes; I wouldn't ordinarily dream of going in to work sick if I wasn't working solo, however.

ICBC's stupid mysterious rules that you don't know about, and that they don't have posted ANYWHERE, but suddenly enable them to refuse your road test. sonuva BITCH. >:(

Not hearing word about my student loan until yesterday, and learning I have to cash it myself, despite the school holding onto the papers for the last two weeks, so I have to wait until later today to cash it, and then it takes a few days to a week to process, so I won't have my money ready for the first day of school. What does this mean? I can't buy the almost 2800 dollars worth of shit they want me to buy on the first day from them >:V apparently almost 14 grand of my money isn't enough, they want even more of it! (Stuff like sewing machine add-on's I'll need, apparent 30 dollar T-square's, etc...)

Being at work having a nice, friendly conversation and having one of the least tolerable people many of us here know walk in the door and try to say hi.

I haven't seen any sign of him in months, and I would have been perfectly happy had it remained that way for a long time.

Okay, seriously now. She said i forgot to shoulder check at a yield sign. But I totally did shoulder check. :I Must have done it too early I guess. Also my space margins need work. I failed the parallel parking, which is actually kind of surprising because I'm normally pretty good at it. And got really nervous and forgot to signal going towards and pulling away from the curb. >_<

They were all stupid mistakes that I'm pretty sure were nerve related. There were a few other should checks she says I missed, which may be true, but I'm more inclined to think I just didn't exaggerate them enough.

Bah. Any good furs out there willing to drive with a n00b? XD

Ah, for some reason parallel parking is vital enough that if you fail it, you fail the whole thing. They should have given you another chance!
At least you know what to work on for next time though.

yeah Im going to have to practice my parallel parking big time. I just dont do it enough. AND usually only trying to do it on a hill in a standard when Im nervous.... doesnt work so hot. I always get it done its just not smooth and pretty.

When I had my road test from L to N the guy was a jerk... I was living on the island at the time and he made snide comments about things like stop lights and stop lines. And he totally had the I freaking hate this...

Then he said I sped through a park zone but the only issue with that is the borrowed Geo Metro I was driving had no guts the park zone started on the other side of the road and I had to come to a full and complete stop at a four way stop. So theres no way I was going 30 let alone the 50 he said I was by the time I reached the other side of the intersection. OHHHH well that was 7 years ago..... hmmmm really need to go to my 5 from my N now.....

So exhausted. I wasn't finished my workload by the time the shop closed (even though I didn't take my lunch break) so I stayed behind... alone... to finish it. It took me an hour and a half extra to do it. I was almost gonna get a cab home and that was annoying since it would cost more than I just made in that extra hour. However, the nice part of this post is that the guy that owns the building was there and he offered me a ride home.

Then I got home and I am starving, but don't want to cook, so I phoned Quiznos, but they don't have a driver tonight. *siiiiigh* So I ordered pizza again. XD
