My mom went off on another one of her raging rants today, focusing on yelling at me and criticizing me for everything I'm not worth to her. Oh what fun...  :-[ *sniffles and curls up in a ball*

I woke up after ~2 hours of sleep with a seriously painful head cold. D: my nose is runny and the pressure in my sinuses is killing me, x_X

I won't get to attend Cos & Effect this weekend.

I'm on the other side of the country visiting family for a much longer stay than I would have liked. (I didn't buy the ticket, so I didn't really have a choice)
Not the first time I've missed a once-a-year event because of family and it's becoming annoying that I'm not getting to go to these things.

There's only a 6 layer limit on Autodesk Sketchbook on the iPad... and I just hit it. This kind of limits serious art...

You're using an iPad, you really have no grounds to complain here. Any poor performance can most likely be attributed to your choice of platform.

Yeah, my Tablet PC can run Photoshop, but pressure sensitivity broke after I upgraded it to Win 7. It's not too complex what I'm working on ATM on my iPad though.

I hate it when people think a certain OS program is better than another, they're all equal in different ways. Just because I prefer one doesn't mean I hate another, Hell I'm only using Windows until I can find a way to fuse my TARDIS Matrix into my laptop.

Hi, programmer here. iPad hardware is far less than a tablet PC, and the OS is far more restricted. (iOS is a mobile OS, not a full and proper unix based operating system like OSX) thus, iPad < PC, and really, an iPad just a stupidly expensive toy. Thus, you get what you got gouged for.


Tech is my industry, as is gaming. I hate when people want to argue tech things because I am always tempted to reply.

I'll never buy an iPad or iMac, because I can't stand using a computer without knowing how to tinker with stuff in the back end, and I don't want to bother learning a new OS.

However, I accept that Apple is a winner for the general populace because their products:

- Look slick
- Work for everyone, easy to use
- Are status symbols
- Play Angry Birds

For the typical expert computer user (I'm guessing most furries fall in this category, myself included) these are not particularly valuable traits but the average dude off the street would rate these highly on their list.  You have to give props to Apple for seeing and fulfilling this need.

Oh no! I didn't mean that the iPad was actually good for drawing and what not, the conversation just reminded me of one of the things I disliked. I'm not surprised the iPad isn't good for drawing (although i could see possibilities, with it being a tablet and all) I was just saying I hate it when people are like "Lol your problem is you're using a mac! trololololololol" Just my thoughts.

i hate that too. Mac's are better at some things than PC's, and PC's are better at some thing than Mac's. It's been my experience that Macs are better for music recording/mixing etc without a huge expensive studio, whereas PC's are better for MMOs, and most games in general. Except maybe dinosaur tycoon, but really that was so long ago I can't remember if that was even was a mac.

my complaint is clearly contacts only takes credit cards and paypal now, >:/ completely screwed up all my plans. bastards.

you forgot linux, linux is better for technical stuff like programming and things.
