The other day I turned my labtop on but instead of happy times I got a screen asking for the install disk to "repair" it. Well I inserted the disk that Asus supplied with the computer but for some reason it doesn't have the repair function T_T I don't really want to lose my labtop so I thought I would ask all of you kind peoples if anyone had the disk for Vista Home Premium (Roger said that was what my OS was but I don't know for sure) and would be willing to meet up... I have homework for school saved on thier and I neglected to back it up so you would be saving me big time!

I don't have such a CD, but what I do have is a USB to SATA/IDE adaptor, that would allow me to at least run CHKDSK and stuff like that, which repairs the filesystem.  It would be worth a shot, and might make your computer start again.

It would be a good excuse to come visit anyhow. :P

1) Get a bittorrent client: www.utorrent.com/

2) Find out if you have a 32 bit system or a 64 bit system: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/03/19/how-to-check-if-windows-vista-xp-and-2003-system-is-32-bit-or-64-bit-x86-or-x64-version/

(Not vital, it wont install from the wrong image you'll just waste some time)

3) Download a DVD image:

http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4642542/Windows_Vista_Home_Premium_32_Bit.iso

4) Burn the DVD with softwhere that can handle .iso

5) Enjoy your new install/repair disk!
