Name a few!  Lets see what is out there.

Some that stand out for me are those low budget horror films.

-Army of Darkness.
A wise guy, stuck in the past with a bad attitude.

-Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer.
A plumber with rage issues, who goes to town on monsters with tools.

2.)   Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry  -  Had some of the best chase scenes seen in movies at that time.

3.)  Race with the Devil -  A slow starter but had amazing chase and action sequences, some of the best seen to that day.

4.) My personal favorite, arguably has the greatest chase scene of all time.

Ravenwood

Actually, "Mad Max" and "The Road Warrior" are two totally seperate movies.  One being a (much cooler) prequel to the other.

I found Prisoner of Azkaban pretty meh up until about the midpoint, after which point it redeemed itself reasonably well.

Also, good lord - no one has mentioned Dr. Strangelove.

Pretty much all the major Kubrick Movies should be mentioned too. Namely 2001: A Space Odyssey, Full Metal Jacket, The Shining, I think someone already mentioned Clockwork Orange.
