Does anyone here play Yu-gi-oh [still]? I'm still playing it even after people stopped playing it back in grade school. The game is quite fun now actually, cep't I find the new anime/cartoon odd.

LudroLycandrel

I have my deck of really old cards around here somewhere...
Somedays even I don't know what I'm gonna look like.

Fuzzy Penburg

i still play it ^^ theres a group of us that plays it every sat. and sun. we r defiatly going to have to duel 1 day ^^
Furries and friends r all u need ^^

I get together with a group to play every Wednesday. Most of our decks are hardly tournament legal, though; definitely just for fun.

LudroLycandrel

Wed for the next few weeks are out...

And the only thing I didn't like about the card game...

NO BLOODY HOLOGRAMS!! >.< dang it :P
Somedays even I don't know what I'm gonna look like.

Grace

Heh, well I doubt you'd want to play with my group anyway, since we're in Kelowna.

Totally agree about the holograms, though. If there were more people who played Eye of Judgement around here, I'd be all over it for that exact reason.

LudroLycandrel

I played the demo for PSP.. not bad :D

Still doesn't beat using the eyetoy for it :3  Love the ad where this dragon was ready to nip off the player's finger :P

Hopefully we can get more people who play Yu-gi-oh in the area. I would love to have a group where I live at the moment to play with.

Fuzzy Penburg

totally =o that'd be so epic

This seems bad coming from the MTG judge....but I've gotten pretty addicted to YuGiOh recently.

I have a friend who's really into it so I mostly just play with his decks since I can't afford a decent deck myself, that and play the 2010 version on the DS.  He told me he'd build a deck for me though once I decided what I wanted to play.

For me YuGiOh is good enough that I'd make a deck and play more then once in a while, but not enough to go into the more competitive part of it (especially since a good chunk of cards are pretty expensive).  It's definitely a nice break from MTG though.
Relax, I am a professional.

I use to go to the tournaments back where I use to live once a week and I would lose quite a bit due to others being better and having the better cards. I run Volcanic Monarch deck now and its really cool to use - I usually win now XD

Fuzzy Penburg

i run a armed dragon deck myself ^^ and starting to build a monarch deck. take my word for it, i dueled roffo's deck, it is mean >.< u make 1 mistake and you'll get screwed over

Aww, now I really wish I lived closer to you guys. :/ There's, like, six of us here, so you get to know your opponents' strategies pretty quick and it sounds like you'd all be fun to play.

I currently run a dino/Ultimate Tyranno OTK and a gladiator beasts deck. The gladiators are my deck of choice, but it gets stale after a year or two. Been working on a new earth deck, too, since that's what I started with.
