This morning I woke up in a strange place.

Something really strange is going on - this morning I woke up in a place where I did not fall asleep.

Last night was a night just like any other...came home late, crawled into bed, fell asleep - but when I woke I was definitely not lying in my bed.  It was hard, and painful, and dark - and from what I could feel around me everything was not in its right place.  Took me a good five minutes of fumbling around in the dark before I remembered my phone in my pocket, and flipped it open, to reveal:

Thankfully my phone has a camera and a bookmark to this forum!  I'm getting zero bars of reception, but I can still send data, hopefully.

In the lower portions of the photo you can see a big plank that I woke up on.  There's a lot of crumbled wall and trash all over the floor, makes walking around in the limited light hazardous, but after a quick poke around it looks like this dirty basement-like area has no doors and only a little tiny square window at the back - so how did I get in here?  There's just another ugly crumbling wall behind me.

The room has no smell and I feel no breeze pointing to a way in or out of here...but I can hear a soft hum coming from the ceiling above me.  There's a machine on my right, looks like a boiler or something, but it doesn't appear to be on.

What should I do?  I could poke around through the trash on the floor, or have a closer look at the boiler, or try and see out the tiny window.  Maybe you can see something in the photo I missed.  But keep in mind my cell phone screen is tiny and has a limited battery life so keep your suggestions down to a sentence or two.

It's a big rectangular box with pipes coming out of it, and a bunch of valves on the front.  I tried turning the knobs but nothing happened.  It looks really rusty along the bottom, maybe it sprang a leak at one point?

Doh, you caught my post before I edited it ;D  (didn't notice the boiler was off, and thus not hot!)

The walls seem pretty solid, I knocked down some bricks but there's only stone behind them.

There's a big chip out of the window now, looks like it was made out of some pretty thick glass.  Even if I manage to break it I doubt I could even get my head through it - it's pretty tiny.

Looking through the window I can only see another brick wall, about a foot away.  It's oddly dark outside, though according to my watch it should be daytime.

It's a box from "Ace Hardware".  It's full of rubble and rusty bits of metal, but look what I found at the bottom!

It feels like it was cheap even before it was left to rust, but I could probably pry something good with it.

Use light switch (Left wall)

Hey, now the light is on!  Now that I can see a little better...

... I can try to pry this boiler apart.

...

Well, it fell off the wall.  There's a hole behind it.  I don't think I came in this way, but it may be my only way out.

Should I crawl into there?  I can see a mess of pipes and more rubble in the back.
