Personally, I prefer nvidia graphics cards... but that's just me.

Grab a GT250 and you'll be screaming too.

Vanilla Skunk

Yeah, I've had better luck with nVidia too.

My 7600GS is still outperforming my X-700GT.

Yes and no. I like ATI right now because they are making such great "Bang for your buck" cards right now. Plus you can get the great warranty with XFX so it is win win. Oh and the ATI card is Direct X 11 were as the Nvidia isn't.

Here is a little video

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Really doesn't matter though, directX 11 isn't really being used a whole ton, and there are very few image enhancement you get from going 11 with a midrange card.

Yeah both will do, though this setup should last a long time and the mobo is more set for ATI. I am just aiming for a comp that will last a while and easy to upgrade if needed.

mediar

Traditionally I have been a Nvidia fan-boi, but they really pooped the bed with their last release of GPUs (video card). Right now it's ATI for the best performance.
There are 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those that don't.

Arooo!

Acco

Disagree. It's the high end that nvidia Didnt do so hot on. But midrange, Nvidia are still win.

Tai, that's looking quite good so far. Thanks a lot for the research work! I'm not going to be able to spring for this *right* away, but that's definitely a great resource to work with. I appreciate it!

Your welcome, I would look again when you start to make your computer since new parts come out and prices will drop.
