So, I vaguely remember there being talk about a journalist named Lisa Ling wanting to interview people for an article/documentary sort of thing a while back, and I believe this is (part of?) the result:
CNN: "Inside the misunderstood culture of furries"

On conventions and ConFurence:
"It gave momentum to the fandom, later resulting in similar conventions such as Califur, Canada's VancouFur, Australia's ConFurgence, Eurofurence and Anthrocon..."

Unlike many media portrayals, this actually doesn't seem that bad, and sounds like someone did their homework and didn't paint the entire fandom with the 'fursuits + yiff' brush (even if yiff does get mentioned further down).
