could use some advice

so basically what my problem is is my art, or more specifically, my furry art. i like to think i'm a decent artist, but all my experience came prior to me joining this community, so i haven't gotten the hang of this kind of art yet. it's mainly the face that i have trouble with, because for the body i just need to tweak the way i draw humans slightly. i want to be able to contribute material here, but i just can't quite manage to. i know if i kept practicing, i'd probably eventually get the hang of it, but it's getting frustrating, and i'd really appreciate some help. can you give me some pointers to help me transition to this kind of art? i'd really appreciate it.

This is just for canine. Basically, look at photo's of the creatures you want to draw and break them down into basic shapes. Cats i usually use a circle instead of the rectangle, etc. Depends on what you are drawing but yeah.
