First timer for Vancoufur (and not much of a con-attender)

Hey guys! As the title suggests, I've never been to vancoufur. Or any furry convention, for that matter. I don't know what to expect, I'm pretty nervous, and both people I had relied on to help get me used to the convention scenario are no longer going to be there. If anyone would like to help me out, I'd be appreciative. Just need a friendly face to help walk me through this, at the very least for the first day, I don't attend conventions much and I don't know what to expect.

Preference on younger people, being only 19 it feels weird to hang out with much older furs, but beggars can't be choosers so any help is welcome.

Edit: I also realized while I do know WHERE it's taking place (the address, at least, don't know how to get there) I don't know WHEN. When does the convention open?

best resource out there for finding times for things/something you might be interested in
going to your first con can be exciting and scary .If you want to just sit in a quiet space the lobby and/or game room and art room(if they have them this year) are great spots

That con was my first time in costume in public but your right about being young at your age I probly couldn't do it so props to you

From my experience its more about parties and its a good idea to bring money and plan a place to sleep, i spent some nights in the lobby siting up sleeping but its not hard to find someone to let you crash on their floor just make sure you dont miss out before they go to sleep. The pannals they have is just something they put together to call it a convenation most people dont even go to them, i missed all but one or two. And most everyone is quite sexually active during the con so unless you love everyone you might want to bring a partner.
