Pay it Forward. (2000)

Don't listen to Rotten Tomatoes - watch the movie. It's emotionally worth it.
I couldn't get into it. I liked the book too much. I think that the teacher was not kept as a black man (forgive me, it has been like... 15 years since I read it) was what made me stop watching the movie. XD

That Thing You Do!  My favorite movie of 1996, and the first directorial turn by writer/actor Tom Hanks perfectly captures the moment in early 1964 when rock and roll became FUN again.  The most surprising feature of this movie is a soundtrack that features no period music whatsoever.  Rather, it is entirely composed of an original score (including tunes penned by Hanks).

One everyone should watch is a personal fave of mine called Pirate Radio its a very interesting movie if not a little on the cookie cutter feel good side of movies, but its still really funny and entertaining. Allot of five star actors and GREAT Music! SO check it out!

Finishing the 1990s coming-of-age-not-in-the-1990s three-pack, we have The Sandlot (1993).   It's childhood, mythology, and nostalgia all rolled into one delicious package.

i agree, run lola run, is a great film (better than just a movie)

one of my favourites is "mon uncle" by jacque tati, it is french with subtitles, but so little dialog, it`s easy to deal with, most of the story is visually based, and very brilliant, tati ranks up there with charlie chaplin and buster keaton, rowan atkinson (mr. bean) was very much influenced by this man, among so many other great.

tati was a giant among them all.

Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus
Ever want one of those movies that you can make snide comments throughout?  This is one of them.  Where do I begin?  The visual effects are done by some no name basement studio staffed with half a dozen postgrads using circa 1992 computers.  (I have seen TV series with longer hair and makeup lists.)  The script is atrocious, boasting perhaps they most contrived sex scene in all of filmdom.  The editing is abrasively awful.  This is a textbook example of why The Asylum royally S-U-C-K-S!

lorenzo lamas, i always wondered whatever happen to him, i guess the shark ate his career.

what a wonderfully horrible movie to watch, double bill it with 'snakes on a plane', and you could have something more dangerous than crack to kill minds with.
