New girl from Edmonton feeling a little lost

Hello everyone
My name is Binx, or Binxy if you like. I am a semi-established fur/cosplayer from the Edmonton community. I moved my whole life to Hope, British Columbia following the death of my stepfather, to be closer to my mom and help look after her in this tough time.

I'm missing my friends dearly and feeling a bit homesick, but I'm hoping to make some new friends. I promise I'm easy going, fun and loving. Please introduce yourselves, give me tips on the sites to see and things to do in this gorgeous province, the events, the conventions, I just wanna dive in!

Hello Binx! Welcome to BC! :D  I hope you enjoy your stay here. All of our events can be found under the calendars tab. Lots of things to do! weekly sushi, game nights, movie nights, monthly bowling, etc! :D

Some local yearly events:
http://www.VancouFur.ca - full convention event.
http://www.Howloween.ca - 1(sometimes 2)day meet up with games, activities, socializing space, and a wicked dance! :D
http://www.ranfirruest.org - Seattle convention (need passport/enhanced DL) and about 3 hours away. Train ride is nice apperently and there are usually lots of people heading down that way who can give rides. (There are forums on the boards for all of these events to look for ride and room share ^_^ )

Feel free to make and/or host your own events as well if there is a place you really want to see ^_^

welcome Binx.  look on he calendar for upcoming events.  make sure you also check the month ahead for events that come near the beginning of the month.  in June there will be CampFur held out near Hope so we Hope you can attend.  the campsite is about 10 minutes up the Coquihalla hwy from town.
