a 2 bedroom bsmt apartment is available in north bby right on the corner of halifax and duthie.  private entrance and driveway.  shared laundry.  dishwasher.  hot water heat.   landlord upstairs.  bus at door, across street x 2, and down one block depending on direction.  easy access to lougheed and brentwood malls, sfu, and skytrain.  if you miss the last bus but not the last skytrain it takes approx 30 minutes to walk from sperling station.  one bus to holdom and furbowl.

this apartment has an odd layout.  one bedroom is located off of shared laundry.  large living room. 

rent is $850 plus utilities = approx $1000 +/- month.  all you need is phone and internet.  you might be able to negotiate less if you do the lawn mowing.  about to open supervalu, pub and park/ golf course nearby,   

apartment for rent sign was in the window yesterday.  was vacant last month so my guess is it is available now. 
landlords name is Lee and the number is 604 421 1196  speaks with a heavy accent.  possibly italian

NOTE ---- NO PETS.  he might be open to caged pets if properly discussed.  possibly a cat.
