Don't worry to much about that, I'm Vegan. The worst we get is the occasional ribbing for how tofudogs look like melting plastic when cooked over a campfire.

What's wrong with tofu dogs? Seriously? Make them into chili dogs with beans on 'em and they're pretty tasty. :O
Prinnies, dood!

If Kuviare and I go, we will need to bring our own food right? We will be needing things like vanilla soy milk, and our type of bread and what not. We just need a place to store it as we have no cooler. Will there be somewhere that's pretty cold? Our soy milk goes bad really fast if it's left at anything above 10 degrees  :-\

As long as I don't have a lot to keep refrigerated, I am sure we can put your stuff with the rest. We will make it work. If you have a cooler to bring, that would help. I only have three. If you don't, no worries. We will figure it out.

Okay... Kuviare also has a concern.

It's $50 to pay, and normally that would include meals, but he and I have to provide our own. So he's a bit unsure about paying $100 for the two of us to go when we also have to bring our own stuff...

The registration fee not only covers the food, but the VERY expensive toilets (the largest expense of the entire weekend) I am bring onto the camp site and all the activities included. It would be near impossible for me to put this event on if I excluded the food portion of the registration for a select few, so three years ago, I decided that there would not be any discounts since I already go in the hole for putting this on for everyone.

nothing's wrong with them, the casing on them just tends to bubble and look like melted plastic when you cook them in the fire.

You won't need to bring all of your own food. Giz is really good about doing special egg/meat/milk-less varieties of things. Mostly just alternatives, though I usually bring extra anyway, but that's just me.

I am VERY particular on the food I eat. Most "meatless" things still have animal by products in them. Like Lactic Acids from dairy and other such things. Also they have to be organic, and non-GMO. And my food is not cheap either yet it's cheaper to make for the companies. (little tid bit that is sad and pathetic, Dairy companies tried to SUE Soy companies for the right to use the word "milk". Milk literally means white substance from plant OR animal. Even dandelions have a milk. Needless to say they lost horribly. Was even in the news paper. This was in the states I believe too.) Anyway, I just make my own food mostly now. My mom ruined it for me by "secretly" putting animal products in my food. It's also easier on everyone else too.  :-3 I don't like to be a burden so I prefer to make my own foodings. You wouldn't believe how much animal byproducts is in nearly everything. The only thing I have -no choice- in is medication. And an untreated UTI can lead to kidney failure and death. Lol. Anyway! I am rambling like a silly ADD kitty!

Also, with the hot dogs, not all dogs do that. Depends on the brand and the type. I get soy dogs, not Tofu. They are both made from Soy but are prepared and processed in different ways. ^^  :birdy:

I'd ment that he'd leave out the egg/meat/milk and that you'd have to bring your alternatives. I get what your saying about meat stuff being in everything, I'm the Vegan by allergy that Tokar mentioned earlier.

Ah..but the thing is most refined white Sugars have been refined through animal bone char and what not unless it's beet sugar. So I have to buy raw/organic sugar. Which also has Iron and vitamines in it that get lost in refining. Rogers Sugar has a bone char refinery out here on the west side, and a beet sugar refinery on the east coast XD I would just honestly make my own food. I am REALLY good at cooking food that everyone loves and doesn't even know it's vegan XD

Okay Kuviare and I will go!

He and I will need a ride to and from as my motorbike is not good for such a long trip and all the camping supplies we will need.

This looks like a lot of fun. Just out of curiosity what kind of food would be provided? I have to eat gluten free due to an intolerance (which basically means no wheat / wheat products) otherwise I get sick, so I'm usually kinda wary of these 'provided meals' (since most people don't really understand or know how extensively wheat is used in most food). So what sorts of things are brought?

Also what is the road to get there like? I have a small car who has proved herself fairly capable in the passed, but she is nowhere near a 4x4 :P

food is Gizmo's responsibility.  as for the roads into the campsite, there should be no problem for your car.  if you remember NikkiD's old car, an older Toyota Corolla, it went in just fine.  Neox has a Pontiac Sunfire and it gets in fine.   there is usually a paved road up to the actual site then it is like driving onto a field.  some bumps and such but nothing you need a 4 x 4 for.

ask for some pics of last year and you should get an idea of the terrain.  not as bad as one may think.

The menu is generally distributed closer to the event. I can tell you that flour based products will be a very small part of the menu and in my opinion, you should not have too many substitutions. I can provide you with more detail if you wish. Private message me for details.
I think Tokar described the site access so don't think I could add anything ...

Alright, thanks for the information. We can talk in PM a bit closer to the date! I'd just need to know if I would have to end up bringing my own meals :P

Im gonna suggest that you may have to bring a few items (as substitute) to fill your needs for the food portion
