I've been trying to curb my dependance on pop, coke and Dr Pepper particularly. I've managed to go for 5 weeks without drinking it at work at all (it is on tap, and free to employees) and I have had pop 4 times outside of work. Two paydays, where I treat myself to a fast food lunch, once at the theatre, and once because I had a shot of vodka with mix after a really crappy day at work.

I am totally miserable. But, I'm committed. It's deffinitly not getting any easier, yet, though.

At this point, I'd rather trade my smokes in and buy a 1L bottle of coke. >.<

I remember when I decided to stop drinking sugary drinks. I made a deal with myself though that Fridays were my only day once a week where I would allow myself to have a pop, fast food and whatever other shitty foods I wanted. It just kept me a little sane and allowed me to hang around my friends on Fridays without going crazy from them eating all the junk in front of me. Worked really well to the point now where I can't even stomach those things anymore. :\ They give acid reflex, headaches and other problems if I drink/eat them.

I did a lot of cardio last year around christmas, I remember for like 4 months the thought of greasy food just made me want to puke.  I got a bit lazy about it though and now only do pushups/crunches, so now an occasional big mac is something I secretly enjoy.

I found that mostly cutting out sugary drinks went a long way toward helping me lose weight.
