Damn, looks like the first few blocks of my laptop's hard drive are completely dead. =>.<=
I've left a LiveCD (bootable CD with Linux on it) trying to read the drive since about noon, and at 3 or so it's still not finished!

If I can spare the $90, I could buy a new hard drive that's double the space of the old one, but that wouldn't get any of my old data off...

Even worse is when they take up half the road and don't move for ANYTHING.

We get those ones here too, I like bike riding, but I hate road cyclists because they pick and choose when they are vehicles and when they are pedestrians (usually when it comes to cutting off traffic, running stop signs and lights), I personally think they should be labeled as mentally disabled.

i have a couple of complaints

first that Drake did not just teach him a lesson and smash into him.  tell the cops he just cut out in front of you.  probably wouldn't be any witnesses as nobody wants to get involved.

second .. that it seems odd that some new members get way more attention to their introductions than others do.  if you look at the numbers, the ratio doesn't add up.  every time we get online we should check to see who is new and say hello to them.  make everyone feel welcome.  i try to do this and maybe i will never meet the furson but still i welcome them to the community.  you may not realize the inner feelings of the person you are saying hi to, but being welcomed just may mean they are a stay at home member or they come out to events.  i prefer that they come out and be a part of the active community.  if 254 people view the newbies introduction, then there should be at least 100 welcome comments.  (taking into account that some will notice other members comments and re-view the intro to see what older (not old in age but membership) have had to say.

lets's welcome everyone each and every one of us

Speaking as both a cyclist and a driver, taking the lane (which is what that's called) is sometimes the only alternative to getting squished between traffic and a line of parked cars and potentially eating a car door.

That's not in any way to say there aren't rude, arrogant cyclists out there, because there certainly are.

Rousing one's self from sleep at a wretched and unholy hour, and combating one's way backwards through the early-morning-fuster-cluck-transit-rush to get to YVR for a flight that will be delayed by at least two hours as soon as one walks through the doors of the terminal. At least there will be reasonably priced breakfast, right? :p

There needs to be laws that prevent cyclists from doing things like that, and if there are already laws in place like that then they aren't enforcing them enough

One paper route on a dry day (warm or cool) is a breeze.
Two paper routes on a dry day is a bit of work, but still doable.

One paper route on a wet day is a slog
But two paper routes on a wet day is a miserable struggle.

I don't know who thought it was a good idea to light fireworks off at ten to midnight on a Thursday in an urban area, but I hope several wet leaves land on their face tomorrow. I was trying to actually go to sleep at a reasonable hour for once.

Oh no! poor Tau! he's too youn--- erm... wise? to suffer such things! (and poor loki too, whatever wrong with him)

Fox Amoore's music is so good that some of his songs affect me so intensely I get shivers, and waves of pleasure that I feel with my whole body, it's the only music that has ever really had this effect on me (aside from maybe a handful of other songs) well the most recent song of his to do this to me is "Angels and Demons" normally this would be a good thing! but the vocals don't start until half way through the song, and then the good part of the vocals, the part that gives me shivers is SO SHORT, it's such a tease! it leaves me feeling cheated and wanting more D: so frustrating!

My scale is on drugs, I eat and drink roughly the same amount every day, but for some reason my scale seems to measure my weight as remaining about the same for like a week, sometimes even going up a bit, then suddenly going below the previous lowest point by 2-3 lbs. There is no way I lost 6 lbs over the course of 24 hours, because I just don't eat enough food for the 5-5.5 lbs extra loss on top of lost fat.
Oh well, as long as the number keeps going down I'm happy!
