I have a thread like this in another forum I frequent, where I post small bits of art that I've done, so I may as well start one here too.
Any feedback you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.

Note that I'm a 3D artist, my primary tool is a free program called Blender, and I usually do scenes, as my skills aren't yet up to organic modelling yet.

First up, a Desolate Gazebo:

You can find more of my artwork on my DeviantArt gallery.

While I do have a FurAffinity account, I don't post quite so much stuff there...

A library I'm working on.

It's going to be kind of large, with multiple floors, bookcases full-height on the outer walls, and maybe a couple of trees.
I'd like some suggestions for the lighting, though. I don't have enough experience or knowledge of how to best light things...

Here's a bunch more things I've done relatively recently:

works looking good, how long have you been working in 3Dart? I used to do alot of it back in the day, and my tool of choice was always 3DstudioMax.

A trick i've found in environments like that for lighting is A use real life experiences, and also don't be afraid of leaving shadows, lots of them. Yes libraries these days have all those rediculous lights, but if you model it after an older library where it has shadows, and possible stained glass fixtures you can really add alot of life to the scene without having to manipulate textures etc to get the same kind of feel

How on earth did I miss this comment?!

I first started working with 3D tools in early 2005, but didn't work my way around to using Blender until around the middle of 2006.
On the whole, I'm quite happy with it, though it has taken quite a bit of getting used to its way of doing things.

That's a good point about leaving shadows.
I keep wanting to have the whole thing fairly evenly lit, and that isn't practical both from a technical standpoint as well as a visual one.
Besides, if it's a really big library, there's going to be a fair number of dark corners!
