I agree with dragonmanmike. I just like the target practice which is why I would like a sniper rifle mostly when I can obtain a firearm. I love ranged shots because you use less ammo but mostly because of the precision involved. I'd never go hunting, I couldn't kill an animal, but I'm not against hunting.

That and it's just exiting. Massively loud bang and a kick in your shoulder gets the adrenaline going. It's like playing toss with a friend, only you aren't shooting a baseball, and the target isn't your friend. :P

Jeez, everyone seems to have an SKS.  Jealoooous...  Hm...

Yeah they do. It's because the ammo's almost as cheap as .22 but it's .30 cal. Also, there's so many third party accessories that you can 'pimp em out worse than a white boy's Honda.
I may have already used that analogy on this board, but that's because I love it so much.

I've been thinking about one, but for all the effort and money I'd put into turning it into a combat rifle. I'd be better off buying a CZ 858 which takes the same ammo.

I keep eyeing the Remington 700 in .308

Guess it depends how long I can keep myself from impulse buying.

S'a spiffy one with the weird barrel.  Has mixed reviews.

If I could have anything I'd drop the 700p model into this stock.  @.@

I've seen a few pictures of those. I think the US military now uses them for their new variant of the 700.
I have an airsoft L96 which looks pretty well just like that.

I currently have a WWII M1 garand. Love the pinging sound it makes :D

You mean the *BING* sound that tells the enemy that you're reloading? It is a nice sound, just with unfortunate consequences.

Lot of the guys used empty clips, thew them ont he ground, and waitined for the enmy to pop up and shoot em :D

That's genius. I hadn't heard that one before.

Drake

Cause everoyne and there grandma new when a Garand was out of ammo cause of that ping.

So The Guys took advantage of that, and tricked the enemy into thinking he was reloading, when he really had a full clip and was waiting for them to pop there heads up so they could shoot them off :)

Gotta love the USA

Just finished a few projects so I'm postin pics.

First one is the pillar bedding job I'm doing on my 10/22, barrel channel's hollowed out and I'm gona glass up the action next.  Whee!  I've got too much time.

Second one is just a pelican case I fixed up for my 1911.

Flufferton

Just a .30-06 Rem. 700SPS that I take when I go hunting with my father from time to time. Very nice action. With some hand-loaded ammunition, it seems to get the job done.
