Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.

Finally all settled in and resting for the first night of my 2 week (possibly 3-4 week) vacation in Vegas. x3 Hopefully if I stay long enough I'll be able to celebrate my 21st birthday down here while I'm on vacation. :3 Woo!

Thing to be happy about #2: Had an awesome time lighting up a bunch of fireworks earlier~ XD and found out that there's an Anime Ramen Cosplay Cafe that my cousins told me about and hopefully later today I'll be able to go to it (though even if I don't go today, I've still got a week and a half) XD

A trip through Victoria's China Town revealed a lot more unique and interesting shops than I first though, especially when you travel through the back alleys. Haha was like something out of Harry Potter, especially when a good few of those shops were centered around the spiritual and the metaphysical.

Probably the coolest trip to Vic I did in years ^.=.^

Well, after complaining about how hot it was in the evenings, it finally cooled off properly last night.

Not only was there a lovely cool breeze blowing, but I also got my very own lightning storm.
While laying in bed and looking out my window, I was able to see the flashes of lightning as they bolted through the clouds. =^.^=
(I didn't notice any heading for the ground, though)

Just had my 30 day review at my new job and all seems to be going really well. I'm still nervous as all hell, but I'm really glad that I'm leaving a good impression so far. =)

I've spent my two days off not being a lazy hermit. I'm getting outside and enjoying the nice sunny weather. Hopefully this summer will not be a repeat of last year.

Looks like it's going to cool off again tonight, so maybe I'll actually get some sleep.
(somehow I got no sleep last night. Must have been the sudden drop in temperature and air pressure)

Hmm, gotta move this back to the first page...

Today I found out that I've been visiting the nearby Tim Horton's often enough to be recognized as a fairly regular customer. =0.0=

I had an ice cream while I was there, then when I was ordering a hot chocolate for my walk home, the lady who'd served me earlier handed me a rewards card for my ice cream. =^.^=

The place that I often order delivery from on my overnight shifts has begun customizing my receipts, and they greet me on the phone rather informally with "What can I get for you, (name)". Yeah. This amuses me. :3

Small shops like Craving For A Game I can understand being recognized, as they have only a few employees and are generally very friendly, but larger places like Tim's I don't quite get. Not yet, anyway.
