U.S. address wanted in Blaine to Bellingham - all legal

i am seeking a US based address to have items purchased from ebay or other sellers that offer free US shipping, to have them delivered to. upon receipt of the delivery you would contact me by email to arrange pick up from your address or if you are visiting vancouver, to meet locally.

when i make a purchase of something to be delivered to your address, i would contact you to be aware that it will be coming. i could even send a copy of the purchase to you for confirmation to show you where it is coming from.

i am willing to pay a nominal fee for this courtesy, but not so much that i could have it sent to my home for more or equal to. the idea here is to save some money. not many purchases will be made by me but if you are open to the idea, you could make a small part time business out of this.

*nod* My former boss has something like that set up. There is a company he pays a small fee to in order to use their address for shipping/storage until he can go down there.

Point Roberts is too far away to make it worthwhile. a friend drives across at Blaine on a regular basis so P R is out of the equation.

Meow, maybe not directly of help, but there is no free shipping, it is included within the cost of the item for convenience or appeal. If they were willing to ship to anywhere in the US then Canada Post has a flat rate no matter where it enters. $4.66 for 1lb, $8.26 for 2, $11 for 3, $14 for 4 with first class int'l which should be akin to domestic prices, if small..

I've found many sellers to offer "please contact us to get the best deal on shipping!" to let you pay what it really costs to get here too.

I just can't imagine that you would benefit from using the service unless the seller does not sell internationally. $8 for a 1lb package in 10-30 days is slower and more costly than postal from nearly any overseas country, and the cost for a 20lb item is the same as I paid USPS (<$80) for the same time period for shipping.

I mean the money saved to justify someone going over the border to provide this service does not seem to add up in my mind. Them including US shipping costs almost covers Can shipping costs, I would ask the seller to consider. I am sorry for rambling though Tokar, just my thoughts..

If they get stopped by customs coming in and they have undeclared unaccompanied goods, they can get in deep shit. At the least they will get flagged for it and that means they may get searched every time they cross the border.

Declaring unaccompanied goods means they will require the driver to pull in, and at the very best, only the package will be opened and searched. At worst, they will search his entire car.

I live a 5 minute drive from the boarder, and the package (if shipped to canada) was gonna cost me $72 (shipping being $42,) but if just shipped within the US my purchase only costed me $39. USPS is screwed up man.
