If you have a buddy code from someone who's preordered the game, and you like the game, if you buy it you can carry your character over :3
Its real action. None of that "tab -> mash buttons" nonsense like Wow. You actually have to click/aim and learn your skills. Its pretty fun.
There are 7 races of awesome (theres even an all male race of animal people. Their counterpart is a loli cat/fox/whatever girl race. oh dear. lol. And they have old voices. sounds. so. wierd!)
But theres quite a bit of customization for characters, and things work really smooth in game. (provided you have a good video card. i got a hand me down card to upgrade to and it works like a dream. and its a couple years old.)

I've been playing this weekend on Celestial Hills with my friend. It's a pretty fun game and the combat is super satisfying once you figure it out.
I have one of the animal folk (the popori) named Imko, and they're super cute. But have like, weird man voices lol. The Armani are awesome also, very monstery

I kinda of wish they had a chat system something akin to battle.net/WoW/etc. So that i could talk to people on different servers :/ Oh well~

I love the races. Lol, as always, the Elves have only two settings/genders: "Feminine" and "SUPER Feminine" XD The men are so girly. xD (not complaining mind you.)
Cant stop laughing at the Elin though. loli cat/fox girls. wat XD talk about giving off the wrong image ^^;

I'm playing a female Castanic at the moment. It was hard to choose so i just kinda went with the flow and chose them for my first character. I'm wanting to start a popori alt tho. xD

I'm trying to convince the friend I played with in the OBT to buy the game with me, otherwise I probably won't buy it without someone to play it with all the time.

I used to play Vindictus, which is still more action-y than TERA, but I do prefer the open-world style of TERA rather than only instanced dungeons.

The game is a looker too. When I got off the training island and saw the scale of the first city I was floored, damn pretty stuff.

I didnt enjoy GW 1 either, but most things Ive heard about GW2 makes it sound like a different game.  It's not out for a while though, also congrats :)

@Torwin well, my friend who preordered it had like, 3-day trial keys so if you can find someone with one, that's your ticket!

@Torwin: They had closed and open beta's for quite some time. But not that the game has officially launched, there is no more of that :/
(they might have a trial like WoW does in the future, but i'm not sure honestly)

But yeah, as WereMagnus said, find someone with a buddy key. (I've used up all mine >.< Else i'd give you one.)

Well, the buddy key usage is over now. It was only for the weekend (even though it said on ppls accounts they could play until the middle of the month. that might be a glitch. Not sure.)

But yeah. You'd have to purchase the game atm. They dont have a free trial yet that i know off. >.<

Looks like a really interesting MMO. I wish they would have a trial though. I can't see dropping $50 on it without playing around with it first. Same issue i have with SWTOR.

They might have a trail open later on. But right now its making sure everything is playing right with all the masses joining in.

Though, they did have both closed and open beta's for quite a few months. Seems a lot of people missed it though. Hopefully they will have a 10 day trial open soon.

For those interested in the game, keep an eye out for ebay and amazon sales. There was a 1 days sale yesterday for the digital copy of Tera from Amazon for 50% off! $25 for a full MMO?! yes please.
