Attention all Skateboarding and longboarding Furries!!

Anyone out there into skateboarding or longboarding? If so, what style? your favorite place to skate? Post a pic of your skate :D

I'll post a pic of my first long board to start things off.. which was a Powell Peralta Surf One No Ka Oi (43.75" x 9.25") -- Man I miss that board...   I'll post a pic of my current setup fairly soon.

I mostly cruise on my longboards, goofy-foot.

I prefer to skate the bowls at the New Westminster Skatepark.

Also, if you're interested in meeting sometime, perhaps we can put together a furry skate session for those of us who feel the need to roll around a bit...

Looks neat, do you have any other information on the board? Such as who manufactured it, model number etc?  Also, any chance you could post some more pictures of it?   I think it would be a really neat to have some more pictures of it! :D

Thanks!

there are no model numbers on any of them, though the first ones have a patent applied for, the next couple have the patent number, which was issued in 1949, and the company name is temco and was based in california, an aluminum foundry that during wwII were making aluminum wings for bombers, and they were at one time, the largest manufacturer of aluminum lawnmower chassis. the history is sketchy and not confirmed.

these were made before the official recognized history of skateboarding (1952), go figure, for they do have double action trucks, which is what qualifies them as skateboards, these were made in the days that only knew of scooters, but as back to the future shows us, skateboards came from scooters.

skateboard : a surface with four wheels, each set of wheels having double action trucks.

they are great for street riding, they go smooth with little effort, and turn quite well considering, very nice cruiser boards, just not built for any major speed.

I'm still getting the hang of my longboard, being uncomfortable at medium to high speeds, and slopes (especially without pads), but I got something that does a little bit of everything.

I like to cruise on my board, ride regular.

Nice ride!   Have you ever riden it at any skate parks? I'm sure that board would carve it up really good!

Never, none near my place. And I'm still a bit sheepish riding around peers, given relative skills. That being said, I'm still looking to improve.
