Need Help - May 26 2012

So I'm not even sure I'm putting this in the right place or that anyone will be interested but here goes...

My partner and I are moving from the West End to south Burnaby area (near Lougheed station). I'm about 90% sure that I've got access to a large-ish truck (Thank you Giz, you're a life saver, any chance you'd be willing to drive it too? :P ). What I'm short on is people to help move stuff from the existing apartment to the truck, from the truck into the new place, and possibly to help with quick re-assembly of key items (read: the beds so we have somewhere to sleep after the move).

We're a tad stretched for cashflow so I'm hoping I might be able to convince some kind hearted folks who aren't afraid of a bit of lifting to help out with the promise of free booze at the trailing end of the move :D (of course it doesn't need to be said that I am assuming the helpers will be old enough to drink ;) ).

I could really use the help, it's a Saturday and the sooner it's done the better so I'd probably be looking to start hauling stuff out to the truck by about 10-11am assuming availability at that time of helpers and truck.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help. Once I have an idea of who is willing/able we can exchange contact info to make it all mesh.

It's a shame you furs do all of your planning for Saturdays, otherwise I'd be able to assist here without any problem at all. Oh well. The 26th is stil a ways off. Who knows, I might see a miracle happen XD

It's not a matter of planning for Saturday it's a matter of planning for general availability. Most folks wouldn't be available mid-week to help with a move ;)

So just confirming, so far we have Hunny, Wereman (possibly) and ravewoif (possibly)... and the ever talented Gizmo driving the big truck!!

Also, as per my original post, any preferences on booze? Beer, Rum, Vodka, coolers (i.e.: Smirnoff Ice, Bacardi Breezers, etc)?

Just a final reminder that my move is this Saturday. It looks like I may have 4-6 people helping (if they all show ;) ) but more is always welcome... keeping in mind that there may be a vehicle shortage if at least one of y'all don't bring a car or something (for moving bodies from A-B).

I just wanted to take a moment to thank the folks that helped out with the move!

There were a few less people than expected actually show up but he ones that did were amazing and really helped out a LOT.

Particularly I want to thank Ravewoif! Dude, you don't know any of us from Adam and yet you not only volunteered to help but busted ass helping make the move so much smoother than if you hadn't been there!

Faith and Gizmo, you two rock too! Hopefully we didn't break you too badly ;)
